Everlane Reviews: Texture Cotton Crew, Re:Down Puffy Puff, ReNew Fleece Sweatpant

I’ve added a few fun fall/winter wardrobe additions from Everlane over the past few months. They do fall/winter so well, and I find myself adding items to my wish list constantly. This edition features a classic knit sweater (that’s now on sale), a sustainably-made puffer coat, and sweatpants to up your loungewear game. For sizing reference, I am typically a size XS/0/25 at J.Crew, Madewell, LOFT, Anthropologie, Gap, and Banana Republic. I wear a size 4-6 in H&M and its sister stores (depending on the item). For stores that use juniors sizing, such as Forever 21 and ModCloth, I am usually a size small. My Uniqlo size is either XS or small (again, depending on the item). Everlane includes garment measurements for each item, which I find incredibly helpful when it comes to determining the right size to buy. Everlane The Texture Cotton Crew in bone — Cotton Cashmere Cat Hair

The Texture Cotton Crew (bone, size S)

I’ve developed a bit of a wool sensitivity, unfortunately, so adding some new cotton sweaters has been high on my list this season (this is the main reason why I haven’t tried their alpaca collection, sadly). Now, I definitely wasn’t lacking in ivory sweaters (I still have my cable knit sweater and waffle cashmere sweater), but I really like this option as a three-season piece. It’d even work well for cool summer nights. I am a fan of the textured knit and details on the forearms. I opted for size small for a little extra arm length and so it wasn’t fitted in the body. The arms are still a tad shorter than I prefer, the body length is longer than I prefer, and the elbows bag out a bit with wear, but overall I’m happy with this sweater and glad I snagged it on sale. It’s on final sale now (and available in all sizes) so if it’s one you’ve had your eye on, grab it ASAP!

Everlane The Re:Down Puffy Puff in dark spice — Cotton Cashmere Cat Hair

The Re:Down Puffy Puff (dark spice, size XS)

Everlane released a Re:Down collection of coats featuring recycled down AND polyester (made from plastic water bottles). The coat features a hood, deep front pockets, and a shell that repels water. This particular style is rated for temperatures between 20 to 45°F. I was immediately drawn to this pretty spice color out of the four options (this color and the cobalt blue are in the Choose What You Pay sale and the black and bone colors are full price). Since it has an oversized fit, I opted for size XS, and it fits exactly as I was hoping it would. It’s still roomy enough for sweaters underneath. The sleeves are a little bit short (#longarmproblems) but they haven’t bothered me. I do wish the hood had some sort of drawstring or tightening feature. I was initially worried that I wouldn’t wear this coat enough to warrant the cost, but so far I’ve worn it 16 times!

Everlane The ReNew Fleece Sweatpant in oat — Cotton Cashmere Cat Hair

The ReNew Fleece Sweatpant (oat, size XS)

Why yes, I did order the sweatpants that exactly match my ReNew fleece raglan sweatshirt (reviewed here). How could I not?! ;) This is what sweatsuit dreams are made of! After reading reviews, I ordered size XS, and they fit loose but not enough to warrant sizing down more. They definitely fit looser in the waist than I was expecting so I do use the drawstring. They stretch out a little bit with wear. They also feature pockets, and I appreciate that they aren’t too long (or too short) on me, though I do wish they had ribbed cuffs. I appreciate that their ReNew collection is made from plastic water bottles, but the fleece is not the softest. It’s cozy, yes, but it’s not that soft in my opinion (especially against my legs). And just like the sweatshirt, cat hair sticks to the sweatpants like crazy! Luckily, the oat color hides it pretty well (but I did de-hair them as best as I could before this shoot, haha).
