Everlane reviews: Soft cotton square crew, cashmere rib round crew, wide leg crop pant

With the holidays coming up in a few short weeks, I wanted to share my thoughts on most of my recent Everlane purchases. I’m a sucker for their sweaters, so I picked up the highly-rated soft cotton square crew and their recently-released ribbed cashmere. (I got one of their waffle knit cashmere sweaters last year and it’s one of my favorites!) I also had my eyes on a pair of their wide leg cropped pants and finally purchased myself a pair when the “short” lengths were released. For sizing reference, I am typically a size XS/0/25 at J.Crew, Madewell, LOFT, Anthropologie, Gap, and Banana Republic. I wear a size 4-6 in H&M and its sister stores (depending on the item). For stores that use juniors sizing, such as Forever 21 and ModCloth, I am usually a size small. My Uniqlo size is either XS or small (again, depending on the item). Everlane includes garment measurements for each item, which I find incredibly helpful when it comes to determining the right size to buy. Everlane The Soft Cotton Square Crew in heather grey — Cotton Cashmere Cat Hair

The Soft Cotton Square Crew (heather grey, size XS)

I ordered this sweater right around the time Everlane released The Cotton Long-Sleeve Crew, which is less expensive than this sweater but looks almost exactly the same. I believe the long-sleeve crew is lighter and thinner but cannot confirm since I don’t own it. :) The cotton square crew that I own has a nice weight to it. I love the boxy, oversized style with the subtle high-low hem that works well with high-rise jeans and pants. I’m not a huge fan of the dropped shoulders, but they do lend a more casual vibe. The cotton stretches out slightly with wear which was to be expected (see around my elbows). I adore this sweater and have already worn it so much since I got it! It’s an easy through-on-and-go garment.

How I wore it: with snakeskin-print mules, with black denim, with Hunter boots and socks

Everlane The Cashmere Rib Round Crew in loden — Cotton Cashmere Cat Hair

The Cashmere Rib Round Crew (loden, size XS)

I was definitely not planning on ordering another cashmere sweater this season…until Everlane released the ribbed cashmere—and in this beautiful dark, slightly heather green color called loden. I loved it when I first saw it in the $100 cashmere crew, but I already own three of those sweaters so I decided to hold off. I’m glad I did because then this sweater was released and I ordered it right away! The fit is oversized in my usual XS, which is just how I like it. I appreciate that the sleeves are long enough on my long arms. It’s not super noticeable in these photos, but you’ll see in outfit photos that the sweater is banded at the hem and it tends to billow out, and I personally love that! I don’t think this sweater is quite as soft as my waffle knit cashmere crew but it’s still quite soft. It’s another cashmere winner in my book! :)

How I wore it: with olive ankle boots, with wide leg crop pants, with black denim, with boyfriend jeans and cognac

Everlane The Wide Leg Crop Pant in ochre — Cotton Cashmere Cat Hair

The Wide Leg Crop Pant (ochre, size 0 short)

Even though I’m short and not terribly fond of the wide-leg trend, I couldn’t help but want to try a pair of their famous wide leg crop pants…especially when they released the “short” lengths! I purchased the ochre color in size 0. The short length is the perfect length on me and hits a couple of inches above my ankle bone (I’m 5’4” for reference). The high-rise is surprisingly comfortable, and even though a lot of reviewers said they went down a size, I stuck with my true size and think it was the right choice. It’s not constricting around my hips or butt but still fits in the waist (and I didn’t find them to stretch out much after wearing them all day). The ochre color is a beautiful dark tan that looks good with pretty much anything, which is exactly what I was hoping for!

How I wore it: with a white lace blouse, with a blazer for work, with the loden ribbed cashmere sweater, with cropped cashmere, with stripes and a leather jacket
