Well, would you look at that—I’m wearing more color! I’ve been feeling like I’m wearing a lot of neutrals this winter, but when I look back at the outfits I’ve shared so far, there’s actually a decent amount of color. I guess I’m thinking more about the outfits that have not been blogged more than the outfits that HAVE been blogged, haha.

This particular color palette puts me in a spring state of mind. The rusty red, forest green, and browns make me think of blooming flowers with their pretty petals, stems, and roots/dirt. I’ve worn other outfits in the past that made me look like spring blooms (remember this one from 2018?). I guess it’s the combination of the forest green cords and brown boots that makes me think that I look like a literal flower—stem and all!

I wore this outfit to work recently. My office is too drafty in the winter to wear only a thin long-sleeved tee (for me, at least), so the sweater blazer kept me warm at my desk. I like wearing my sweater blazers with a single cuff roll to show more of the sleeve underneath, especially when it’s striped!

I experimented with wearing my new sock ankle boots from Aquatalia with skinny pants that weren’t completely calf-hugging, but the outline of the boots is more prominent than I thought it would be. I didn’t notice that at home…oh well. Right now I have 3-4 pairs of jeans and 2-5 pairs of pants that would work with these boots (barring any conflicting color schemes) so time to start experimenting! I’m also thinking about trying some true straight leg jeans which would definitely work…and I could use a little more variety in my denim collection heading into spring.

P.S. My baby hairs were apparently FEELING IT during this shoot. Yikes! Haha.
