Whether you’re back working in the office or still working from home (I’m the latter!), I’ve got the outfit for you! This one works no matter the work environment. The secret? Paperbag pants. I know that some people aren’t big fans of them, and I get that. But if you’ve been thinking about giving them a try, I’d recommend going for it, and if you are already a fan, try a pair with your next work outfit! These pants from Madewell in particular are snuggest around my waist (even then, it’s a comfortable fit and not tight at all) and loose around the hips and legs, making them the perfect pant for sitting at your desk. (Or standing at your desk. Or walking up/down stairs. Or doing a quick load of laundry. Etc!)

For this outfit iteration, I pulled out my bodysuit. Bodysuits are perfect to pair with paperbag pants because they stays tucked in and always have a smooth finish. Regular tops/tees tend to bunch around the paperbag top when tucked. I still wish I had opted for a larger size in mine (when I bought this bodysuit a year ago, the XS already felt too tight…and now it’s feeling extra tight after these past few months, ha). This bodysuit features snaps at the crotch, which are great for both office and WFH environments! No need to completely undress to use the restroom.

My fancy Ferragamo pumps make this perfectly office-appropriate; at home, I’d switch the pumps for slippers (unless you want to feel polished for a meeting, of course). (Though, I will say that I just gave a virtual presentation last week and wore this outfit with slippers—ha!) The fun statements earrings add that magical “I tried!” touch that I do often for the office AND also for WFH—I have a webcam now, so people can see me in meetings!
