How would you spend your perfect summer Saturday?

Perfect Summer Saturday: What to Do + Wear | Cotton Cashmere Cat Hair

Sometimes I put together an outfit, and I’m just like, “Yep. This is it! This is the perfect summer outfit.” And you know what? This is one of those outfits! I immediately envisioned myself strolling the market on a beautiful, comfortably warm summer day. And then it got me thinking about what I’d consider a perfect summer Saturday. So I decided to share it! I’d love to hear how you’d spend your perfect summer Saturday—and tell me what you’d wear, too!

Before I get into it, can we talk about this outfit?!?! I love a good monochrome moment. The creamy whites, tans, and brown in this outfit go together so well, and I coordinate quite well with my backdrop if I do say so myself. I thought about wearing my straw hat instead of the sunhat, but I like giving the straw tote its moment to shine. It’s the textural star of the show! You might also recognize the sandal: it’s the most comfortable summer sandal from Everlane! (I now own four colors. 😆)

How would you spend your perfect summer Saturday?

Here’s how I would spend my perfect summer Saturday:

I would start by sleeping in. I’m a master at sleeping in. Being a night owl, I naturally go to bed later than most people, so I also wake up later than most people. It’s not unheard of for me to sleep in until noon—if the cats let me! (They don’t, usually…but if Korri is around and wakes up first to feed them, they will leave me alone.) On my perfect summer Saturday, I would have gone to bed at a decent hour (before 2 am for me, lol), and slept in until 10-11 am.

After slowing waking up (maybe without an alarm?!), and reading a chapter of a book, I’d head down to the farmers market. Is this not a perfect farmers market outfit?! The lighter colors will keep me cool in the summer heat, the hat protects my face and neck from the sun, and the tote is large enough that I can fit a few goodies from the market. I love picking out fresh produce!

While at the market, I’d grab some sort of sweet treat or drink. I love the mini donut food truck! I’d also grab either a lemonade, boba slushie, or blended chai, depending on whatever I’m feeling. The weather would be perfect: not too hot that I’m sweating.

After wandering around downtown for a bit, maybe popping into Rediscovered Books and City Peanut (their flavored nuts are to die for), I’d stop for a late brunch/lunch. I don’t get downtown for brunch often enough! I’m dying to try Western Proper’s weekend brunch.

I’d then head home and NAP!!! Nothing better than a Saturday afternoon siesta. Plus, late afternoon is the hottest time of day here, and by then I’m tired from being in the sun. I’d snuggle with my cats and enjoy some A/C…and maybe turn on baseball (makes great background noise for a nap, lol) or TLC for a lil trash TV!

For dinner, I’d head to my parents house for whatever my dad is grilling and to hang out with my family! We usually end up playing games after dinner. And eating brownies, or another baked good my step mom whipped up.

Alright, now I’m dying to make this happen! Tell me about your perfect summer Saturday in the comments (and what you’d be wearing!). 🤗
