Corduroy Shirt Jacket Outfit for Late Fall
Here’s what I ended up wearing to Thanksgiving this year! My dad and step mom hosted at their place, and all of my brothers (except my brother in Colorado) were there along with Korri’s parents and a few family friends. It was so fun to see everyone! Korri and I made really yummy butternut squash macaroni and cheese (we doubled this recipe and it made WAY too much), but once we got to my parents’ house and put it on the stove to keep warm, it ended up boiling on accident and totally burned. It was a huge bummer. Everyone still ate it, but it tasted burned.
In happier news, let’s chat about my shirt jacket outfit! I tried to wear the most Thanksgiving-inspired/late fall colors I could, and this stained mahogany shirt jacket and sedona thermal tee fit the bill perfectly.

As I mentioned above, the fall colors are really what inspired this outfit. I now have two shirt jackets, this one and one in dark green, and I knew the gorgeous deep red of this shirt jacket was meant to be. I styled this shirt jacket with the same style tee a year ago, just in a different color. I coordinated well with the leaves in the background this time!
Since the shirt jacket is oversized, I wanted to keep my pants slim to keep the outfit balanced. And because it was Thanksgiving, I had to wear comfy (and super stretchy) pants, so leggings fit the bill this time! My black Marc Fisher Izzie boots and J.Crew pom-pom beanie were the perfect finishing touches on a freezing cold late fall Thanksgiving day.
