Shades of grey casual work outfit for spring | Cotton Cashmere Cat Hair

Hard to believe it’s the start of another new month! We’re now a third of the way through 2022.

I haven’t been up to much since the previous Currently post. The college gymnastics season wrapped up (Oklahoma won the national championship) and postseason drama ensued. I’ve been working nonstop and fighting with my new work laptop. I shared a bunch of new blog content last month and now don’t really have a plan for May, which is kinda weird for me because I usually have a rough idea of what I want to share every month. I have tons of ideas and no real motivation to write any of it.

We finally checked out a local outdoor year-round fruit and veggie stand here in Boise and they had the most beautiful produce! I grabbed an heirloom tomato and stuck it in a couple of lunches this week (along with strawberries from the same market and arugula from a farmers market). Korri and I hiked in the foothills on a gorgeous rain-free evening (then grabbed ice cream). We shot outfit photos next to a beautiful blooming dogwood tree. I volunteered a couple of times with Reclaim Idaho to gather more signatures for a ballot initiative in support of more funding for public education. The signatures were turned in this past Monday!

Overall, it’s been a good month. Busy and exhausting at times but good overall. I’m looking forward to having a holiday at the end of May, and hopefully I can get through a little spring cleaning of our house this month. (Famous last words!)

What I’m Wearing:

ABOVE: Madewell hat / Grana sweater / Madewell jeans (similar) / Blondo boots
BELOW: MATE the Label tee (exact) / Amour Vert pants (similar) / Ugg slippers

I joined Anne’s currently link up this month to share what else I’m up to right now!

Currently | May 2022

consuming: too much of a lot of things: the news/social media, for one, since abortion rights are under attack ONCE AGAIN!!! In addition to that, I’m anxiously awaiting college gymnastics off-season coaching change/transfer news and constantly checking Twitter for those updates. And Korri has recently started making me blended chai drinks at home, which is dangerous and I’ve consumed one nearly every day since Saturday LOL. (I found instant boba at Costco and it’s a DELISH addition!)

feeling: all the things, which is what my usual answer is I’m pretty sure. I’m feeling sad, angry, and frustrated about the general state of our world/country/politics/human rights. I’m overwhelmed about how much of my closet doesn’t really fit me anymore and needs to be listed on Poshmark (and just generally anxious about changing sizes). I’m worried that something is wrong with Sybil because she’s been sneezy lately. I’m irritated that my brand new work laptop is having so many issues. The list could go on and on. (Just reminding you that social media is a highlight reel!)

finding: a box that contained a bunch of things I thought were lost forever in my move to Boise a few years ago! (Actually, Korri found it, lol. It was sitting in plain sight, and I thought it was one of his boxes this whole time!) It contained a bunch of CDs and books (those I couldn’t remember; the books have since been donated) as well as my portable phone charger (definitely could’ve use that at concerts) and my external CD drive. Gonna use that drive to put the CDs on my computer and then I need to figure out what to do with the CDs.

following: honestly—social media for college gym updates as shared above. There are still a couple of new coaches that need to be announced, and we are also anxiously waiting to see where transfers will end up. (Transfers are not as common in gymnastics as they are in other sports, but with the new COVID year/NIL change, there’s been a few more this year.) I suppose I’m also loosely following the lives of everyone on 90 Day Fiancé and Unexpected on TLC. Love me some reality TV!

spending: all of my money at The Container Store. It’s a problem. We don’t have a store here in Boise (probably good that we don’t; I’d be there all the time!!!) so I’m constantly browsing the website and planning my next purchases. I have a small collection of bins waiting to be made useful still so I need to hold off on buying more but it’s just so fun to buy things for organization! I also shared a money diary last week, which features my frequent $2 Amazon Kindle book purchases lol.
