Can't go wrong with the classics on what ended up being a perfect spring-like day! This navy striped tee is one of the oldest items in my closet, and I'm impressed by how well it has held up all these years. The only thing I would change about it is the length. I don't like how it bunches around my hips! As I write this, I think I have convinced myself to see how much it would be to shorten the length a little bit. I'm new to the wonders of a good tailor, and now that I found one, I need to take advantage!
This outfit is a near-exact replica of an outfit I wore at the beginning of February (back when it felt like spring for the first time this year!). I promise it was unintentional! But wow, is it any more obvious that I had very little outfit inspiration this season? I struggled to come up with relatively new combinations and ended up repeating silhouettes basically nonstop. I'm beyond ready to say farewell to winter and welcome a new season, especially since I have some outfit ideas brewing for when we hit those perfect 70-degree temperatures!
I branched out of my usual skinny-jeans box and wore these cropped flare jeans. I'm surprised by how much I don't mind the look of them, even though I think they would look better if they were an inch or two longer. I recently bought Everlane's latest denim release: the kick crop jeans in bone. Those are just slightly too long for my taste, so I will probably end up cutting the hems. (Any tips? I'm nervous!) There are now two pairs of cropped flare jeans in my closet! Who am I? Haha. I hope to have some fun with these new styles in the coming months!
