Even though it’s still technically fall (Thanksgiving is only 10 days away!), it’s starting to feel a whole lot like winter around here. Our high temperatures lately have been hovering below 50°F, and our nighttime lows are bottoming out at almost 20°F! Safe to say that it’s downright chilly in the mornings and not much warmer by the time the afternoon rolls around. A brisk breeze on top of the already cold temps made for a very short photo shoot.
The only good aspect of the cold is the opportunity to wear all the fuzzy and cozy things. This was my first time wearing this nubby pullover that I bought in the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale four moths ago! It runs large, and there was no size below this one available, so it fits huge on me, but I don’t mind so much. I just think I look a little bit like a linebacker in it, haha! A very soft, huggable linebacker. ;) I foresee this pullover getting a number of wears at work since, like many offices, mine has issues regulating the indoor temperature (pretty much everyone has their own space heater to keep warm).
To brave the cold, I layered a cashmere sweater under the pullover. I felt like wearing something other than blue denim, so I decided to wear my grey jeans…and I like how they go with the dark collar on the pullover. I cuffed the jeans twice to keep them above the top of the boots, and then I cuffed the sleeves on the pullover so the sweater could peek out (plus, the sleeves are long; they hit at my wrist when I have them folded over). Casual, cozy, and perfect for fall!
