$400 (quarterly budget) - $126 (March) - $176 (April) - $92 (May) = $6 left over

I shopped a bit more this month than I have been in previous months! It wasn't a good thing since I didn't have much to spend, but luckily I had some money earned from Poshmark sales to cover a couple of purchases.

Everlane ran their "Choose What You Pay" sale and I used it as an opportunity to pick up a replacement sweater hoodie (the original was purchased in December; one of my cats had access to it on the drive home after Christmas and destroyed it). I also picked up one of the linen scoopneck tees and the linen box-cut tee, both in my usual size XS. I love that the scoopneck isn't too low, but the scoopneck tee is more fitted on me than the box tee than I would have thought. The fabric of the box tee is a bit scratchier, too. I love the stripes, though! Both are slightly sheer but fine with nude-to-me bras.

I grabbed the red striped tee from COS when they were running free shipping (I also used my 10% off coupon). I originally saw it on Toyosi and fell in love with the fit (and stripes, of course). I debated between size XS and S, but ended up going with S after getting the garment measurements because I didn't want it to be snug in any way. It's not so loose that it's sloppy, but it's not tight, either. There's enough room just in case it decides to shrink in the wash. The length is perfect for me, too!

I had my eyes on the Old Navy shorts since I tried them on in store a couple of months ago. The pair I tried on didn't look like any of the pairs online, so I took a chance and ordered these... And they turned out to be the right pair, I think... They fit a bit more snug and also feel shorter than they did originally, but I love them enough to hold onto them.

The plaid flannel shirt was obviously not purchased to be worn anytime soon, haha. I was planning to buy it new in the fall, but when I saw one pop up on Poshmark, I decided to buy it. Turns out I don't like the plaid as much as my other red plaid flannel from L.L.Bean, so I may be relisting it on Poshmark... We'll see. I might give it a chance. I'm pretty bummed and hope that L.L.Bean brings their original red plaid back.

I also ordered this Leith dress in heather grey and this Olivia Moon blazer in black from Nordstrom as a potential outfit for my dissertation defense, but I ended up not wearing either. I'm still trying to decide whether or not to keep them. I got the dress in both size XS and size S; the XS is snug on my hips and the S is loose on top, so I may not be keeping either. I got the blazer in small petite. The sleeve length is a just a tad short and the length is longer than I thought it would be considering I got petite (I tried on XS petite in store, which was the right length but too tight in the shoulders). It would still be an excellent basic to have on hand in case I need it for more formal events and don't want to wear my navy blazer. (Thoughts?) If I decide to keep anything, I'll add it in next month's budget.
