Earthies 'Saletto' caged sandals in dusty blue — Cotton Cashmere Cat Hair

This is the third year that I've had the opportunity to pick out and style shoes from Earth Brands. It's been so fun to select a pair of shoes (or two!) that matches my personal style and that I can work into an outfit (and wear repeatedly in future outfits). And because of their #WhereOnEarthRU campaign on social media, I've also had the pleasure of finding iconic/photogenic places wherever I happen to be—and I'm either in one of two places: at home in Utah or up in Idaho visiting my boyfriend and family. (I'm pretty sure that at this point, I spend about a third of each month in Idaho, haha.)

My first look features the Earthies 'Saletto' caged sandals in a gorgeous dusty blue with the Boise Depot as the backdrop. I honestly wasn't sure if I would like these sandals when I chose them. I've never been crazy about caged sandals, and the blue wasn't the typical neutral color I'd go for. Turns out they're my favorite of the two pairs I got! As with all Earth shoes, they're extremely comfortable, even with the sizable heel height. (The laces dug into my feet after wearing them for a few hours, but I could retie them and fix that issue. They arrived with the laces already tied.) I got them in my usual size 7. I was worried about the dusty blue being difficult to style, but it turns out that they were easier for me to style than my other, more neutral pair of shoes. I absolutely love how the blue plays off camel (with the lace top for added texture). This is one of my favorite outfits ever!

I wasn't sure if I wanted to feature the Boise Depot since I shot one of my Earth brands outfits from last fall at the garden in front of the depot, but it's one of the most iconic landmarks in the city, and I didn't include any photos of the actual building in that post. The depot features beautiful Spanish-style architecture complete with a bell tower (though I'm not sure if it works). Unfortunately, passenger train service ended 20 years ago, and I very rarely see trains on the tracks. Trains aside, it's a popular location for weddings and other events, especially because of the beautiful garden in front. It's perched on top of the Boise bench with the best view straight down Capitol Blvd into downtown Boise to the capitol with the foothills in the distance. It's definitely worth a stop if you find yourself in the area! :)
