May Style Sudoku, At Home Recap

May Style Sudoku, At Home Edition: 16 items, 14+ outfits — Cotton Cashmere Cat Hair

For two weeks this month, I wore the 16 items pictured above in 14 outfits as part of my May style sudoku, at home edition. The outfits are made from the rows, columns, corners, and diagonals of the sudoku. A style sudoku is my favorite style challenge—if you know me, you know I’m a big sudoku nerd, and I like that it’s not as restrictive as some other style challenges, which works better for me. Plus, it’s a great way to test out new combinations and find some new favorite outfits to add to the rotation!

Once again, it proved a challenge to put together a sudoku without any shoes, but since it was my second time around, I intentionally avoided the items I had picked in April and was able to narrow down my selections fairly easily once I had my color palette finalized. The only item I repeated from April was the wide leg pants…they’re perfect for working from home, so I gotta wear them as much as I can before I head back to the office!

I used this challenge as an opportunity to wear some items that I haven’t worn that much (navy striped top, navy leggings, camel sweater blazer, white baseball cap) and some new items (bike shorts, pink velvet baseball cap, pink striped tee, green cardigan). As you can tell, I had so much fun with the color palette this time around!

After my first at-home style sudoku in April, I was excited to do another round this month. It kept me out of a style rut, which happened pretty quickly after I started working from home back in March and avoided leaving the house in general. It also kept my mind occupied on something other than the news and made getting ready in the mornings much more streamlined.

I originally planned on doing a style sudoku for every month that I’ll be working from home, but I’m still not sure if I’m heading back into the office next month or not…and as much as I enjoy putting together and wearing style sudokus, they are a lot more work when it comes to blogging, so I’m going to skip June. Plus, I miss putting together and shooting regular outfits and would like to shoot some while it’s nice out!

Below you’ll find all of my outfits and where they landed on the sudoku, two bonus outfits, a widget where you can shop the exact or similar items I wore, and a blank sudoku so you can make your own!
