May Style Sudoku, At Home: Outfits 6–10

Here is the next batch of outfits from my May style sudoku, at home edition! Last Friday, I shared outfits 1-5, and outfits 6-10 can be found below. The final batch will be up next Monday with a full recap to come in a week! You can find each outfit in real time over on Instagram stories.

OUTFIT 6 • Friday, May 15th

May Style Sudoku, At Home Edition: Outfit 6 — Cotton Cashmere Cat Hair

Friday! My favorite day! I stayed busy with work during the day and then with the blog in the evening. I figured out a new method for editing photos that cut down the time I spend, and it’s basically just batch editing. I used to pick photos, then edit, then go back and pick more, etc. It’s much faster to force myself to pick all the photos at once and then edit all of them at the same time. Who knew? 😂

I’m loving this new striped tee I purchased from Amour Vert back when it was released in April. The pink stripes sold out very quickly, unsurprisingly. It’s a fun change from the typical navy or black stripes. I do wish I had gotten it in the smaller of my two sizes; it’s definitely designed to be loose rather than fitted and this size is just a touch looser than I’d like.

OUTFIT 7 • Saturday, May 16th

May Style Sudoku, At Home Edition: Outfit 7 — Cotton Cashmere Cat Hair

Saturday started off like all the others: farmers market pickup and take-out brunch! I can’t remember what else we did, haha. I think I cleaned up a little bit around the house and then immersed myself into a site redesign (coming soon!). Nothing was super exciting, per usual. I have a million things to do as I prepare to update my blog! An update is long overdue for sure.

To be honest, it felt weird to wear one of my sweater blazer outfits on the weekend since usually it’s an item I reserve for work. Even though I was wearing leggings, the sweater blazer made it feel too dressy to wear out and about. Since I didn’t want to wear the sweater blazer three times in the following work week, I opted to pull it out for the weekend.

OUTFIT 8 • Sunday, May 17th

May Style Sudoku, At Home Edition: Outfit 8 — Cotton Cashmere Cat Hair

Sunday was the last warm day for at least a week, so I wore my final bike shorts outfit. I only got out of the house to grab our mail and drop off glass recycling, but at least I got to feel warmth on my skin one more time before holing up inside for the week . Besides that, my family and I had a Zoom party and watched my cousin’s virtual high school graduation, and I spent the evening with 90 Day Fiancé. 😉

I think this will end up being my least favorite outfit from the bunch… I’m not a huge fan of when you can clearly see stripes under another layer, and I also felt like the long sleeve tee + cardigan + bike shorts combination was a little too contrasting. It was a little too top heavy.

OUTFIT 9 • Monday, May 18th

May Style Sudoku, At Home Edition: Outfit 9 — Cotton Cashmere Cat Hair

Monday was cooler than Sunday as the showers made their return, but luckily our house stayed pretty warm all day, so I opted for an outfit without a top layer. Three of my style sudoku outfits do not feature a top layer, so I’m trying to be strategic when I wear them.

For this style sudoku, I tried to include a good mix of items that I’ve owned for a while and items that are relatively new to my wardrobe. This top is an item I’ve owned for years, and it’s still a favorite of mine. The loose, swingy shape through the body makes it easy and fun to wear, and it goes especially well with slimmer bottoms.

OUTFIT 10 • Tuesday, May 19th

May Style Sudoku, At Home Edition: Outfit 10 — Cotton Cashmere Cat Hair

The outside temperatures took another dip on Tuesday as more showers moved in, so our house temperature followed… and it was time to pull out an outfit with a third piece. Thankfully, I had plenty to choose from!

My feelings on this outfit are mixed. I’m not quite sure if the sweater blazer looks right with the wide leg pants; maybe the blazer is too long? On the other hand, I don’t hate the pairing. I’d wear just about anything with these pants, though. Not only are they my most comfortable pair of lounge pants, they’re also nice enough to look like they could be regular work pants!
