Where to Stay in Zion National Park

Zion National Park is the most-visited national park in Utah. Its stunning sheer cliffs of red rock are awe-inspiring and beloved by people of all ages! The best time to visit Zion is during the shoulder seasons, spring and fall, but it’s a beautiful place at any time of year. I would recommend spending as long as you can in Zion (especially if you’re trying to score a lottery permit to Angels Landing), but we spent one day in Zion last spring and felt like we got a good taste of the national park and all it has to offer.

There is no shortage of places to stay in and around Zion National Park to make your trip memorable! Whether you’re looking for something simple that includes parking and/or breakfast or something more luxurious like a spa resort, there’s a place for everyone and every budget.

Below, I rounded up a list of over 20 places you can stay in and around Zion National Park, whether you are looking for lodging in the park, a hotel (locally-owned or chain), a bed & breakfast, a cabin, a luxury glamping experience, or a simple campground! There’s an interactive map at the end of the post to help you book your stay.

Lodging in Zion National Park

  • Zion National Park Lodge

Perfect for: Anyone who wants to stay IN Zion National Park

Book direct.

The Zion Lodge is the ONLY place you can stay within the national park. Prices might be steeper because of its prime location (and it doesn’t have as many amenities as you might find at a hotel outside of Zion), but as someone who has stayed in Yellowstone before, it’s definitely worth it! The only legitimate place you can book Zion Lodge is direct via Xanterra. Book early; in-park lodging is highly coveted and sells out well in advance.

Hotels in Zion National Park

  • Bumbleberry Inn

Perfect for: Anyone looking to stay where everything you need is onsite

Book direct or via Booking.com, Expedia, or Hotels.com.

Bumbleberry Inn is a locally-owned hotel located right outside of Zion National Park in Springdale. This property came highly recommended for its onsite restaurant, Wildcat Willies. In addition to the hotel and the restaurant, there is a performing arts theater and a gift shop onsite. The theater and gift shop are located right on the main road and made the perfect place to browse while we waited for a table at Zion Pizza and Noodle! The ice cream counter at the gift shop was ALWAYS busy.

  • Cable Mountain Lodge

Perfect for: Anyone who wants to be as close to the south entrance of Zion National Park as possible without being in the park

Book direct or via Booking.com, Expedia, or Hotels.com.

Cable Mountain Lodge is the closest hotel to Zion without actually being in the national park. You can walk to the entrance from the hotel! (Or hop on the shuttle to go south into Springdale.) This spot is perfect for groups and for families; there are large rooms and suites available. Guests can enjoy a pool, observation deck, and riverside picnic area. Cable Mountain is located adjacent to Zion Canyon Village, where you can shop, eat, and/or grab anything you might need to take with you into Zion National Park.

  • Desert Pearl Inn

Perfect for: Anyone looking to experience a Springdale staple next to a restaurant

Book direct or via Expedia or Hotels.com.

Desert Pearl Inn has been a staple of Springdale since 1998. The owners of the property have family ties to the area going back over 100 years! It is located in a prime location along the main road near the south entrance; the free Springdale shuttle stops right by the hotel. They have a pool and loungers that is open seasonally from March until October and a hot tub that is open year round. It’s the perfect spot to chill after a day in the park and especially if you have kiddos. Camp Outpost Co. is a restaurant adjacent to the hotel serving American comfort food.

  • Flanigan’s Resort and Spa

Perfect for: Anyone looking for a luxury boutique hotel experience and spa services

Book direct or via Booking.com, Expedia, or Hotels.com.

If you’re looking for a luxury resort and spa experience on your trip to Zion, look no further than Flanigan’s Resort and Spa in Springdale. Book direct or via Booking.com, Expedia, or Hotels.com.

In addition to locally-owned hotels, there are also a variety of hotels owned by national brands. Best Western operates a well-loved property within walking distance of the south entrance of Zion (across the main road from Desert Pearl Inn, so it’s only three shuttle stops away from the entrance). Enjoy the heated (from April through November) outdoor pool and hot tub at the end of a long day adventuring! Breakfast is complimentary, and parking is $8 per vehicle per day. On-site coin-operated laundry is also available. Pets aren’t allowed.

  • Cliffrose Springdale (Curio Collection by Hilton)

Perfect for: Anyone looking for an upscale hotel experience, spa services, and those loyal to Hilton

Cliffrose Springdale is an upscale Hilton property located in the historic Cliffrose lodge. This is the second-closest hotel to the south entrance of Zion and is only one shuttle stop away (or a short walk). Indulge in the on-site restaurant called Anthera that features locally-sourced ingredients, room service, spa services at Five Petals, and two heated outdoor pools and hot tubs. You can opt for a regular hotel room or one with a suite and full-size kitchen appliances. Parking is complimentary and no pets are allowed.

Perfect for: Anyone interested in connecting rooms, warm cookies, fireplaces, and those loyal to Hilton

This pet-friendly hotel also features a seasonal pool and year round hot tub. Plus, you can check in as early as 3 pm (earlier check in and late check out are possible)! They offer free breakfast but do not have a restaurant on site. Self-parking costs an additional $10 per vehicle per day.

  • La Quinta Inn & Suites at Zion Park/Springdale

Perfect for: Couples, families, and those loyal to Wyndham properties

Book direct or via Booking.com, Expedia, or Hotels.com.

The La Quinta is where Korri and I stayed for two nights on our trip to Zion last spring! I picked this hotel because of the price (it wasn’t quite as high as some other options), the free breakfast, and the location right in Springdale. The hotel is right off the main road, so you are walking distance to the shuttle and a number of places to eat and shop. At this hotel, all of the rooms have exterior entry and the property is split into many buildings. You will have to walk outside to get to other rooms, the lobby, and the breakfast room (next to the lobby). There’s also a hot tub and seasonal outdoor pool with play area for kiddos.

  • SpringHill Suites by Marriott Springdale Zion National Park

Perfect for: Anyone who prefers suites and those loyal to Marriott properties

Book direct or via Booking.com, Expedia, or Hotels.com.

SpringHills Suites is the perfect place to call home in Springdale if you’re loyal to Marriott and are specifically looking for a suite versus a regular hotel room. Like the other hotels in the area, this one offers a seasonal pool and hot tub, and there’s also a splash pad—perfect for the kiddos. Enjoy the dark night skies next to outdoor fireplaces. Check in starts at 3 pm, free breakfast is served daily, pets are allowed for an additional fee, and parking is $10 per day per vehicle.

While the B&B is open year round (and includes hot tub access year round), breakfast is only available from mid-March to mid-November, and it’s only provided between 7:30-8:30 am, which is perfect for early risers but not as great if you’re a night owl like me!

  • The Novel House Inn

Perfect for: Anyone looking for a quiet place to stay and literary lovers

Book direct or via Booking.com, Expedia, or Hotels.com.

The Novel House Inn is a longstanding family-run inn just off the main road in Springdale and features 10 themed rooms inspired by famous authors. Each room comes with its own private bathroom. This is a slightly different experience from a typical B&B; instead of receiving breakfast at the property, customers instead are given vouchers for complimentary breakfast at either Oscar’s Cafe or Porter’s (both a short walk away).

  • Zion Canyon Bed & Breakfast

Perfect for: Anyone looking for a B&B experience and those that love breakfast burritos

Book direct.

Like Harvest House, Zion Canyon Bed & Breakfast is a short walk or quick shuttle ride to the south entrance of Zion National Park.
