Festive and Neutral Fall Decor for Your Home
Today is my BIRTHDAY! 🥳 And the first FULL day of fall. I take great pride in my birthday being the first (full) day of fall, haha. I almost always have perfect early fall weather on my birthday, and today is no exception. In addition to the nice weather, September is a fun month with tons of activities and things to do in Boise, and boy have I been busy this month. I’ve had events going on every weekend so far!
Now that we are officially in astronomical fall, I’ve had all things fall on my mind, including home decor. I don’t really decorate my home at any time of year except for the holidays (and even then, I only decorate in the living room and nowhere else), but for some reason I love writing these home decor posts around fall every year and pulling out my one box of fall decor. There’s just something super cozy and comforting about doing a fall home refresh when the weather cools down.
While I love all of the typical deep auburn browns, earthy greens, and shades of rusty orange that make up most fall decor, I also love neutral items that I can keep out year-round. Below, I rounded up some of my favorite festive and neutral fall decor for your home (and it’s all from Target)!

There’s just something about fall at Target. It’s magical, isn’t it?! I always end up wanting the entire store, haha! They do fall decor so well. When it comes to seasonal home decor, I’m personally not a big of Halloween and tend to gravitate towards more neutral fall decor to Halloween decor. I love to add interest through various textures (wood, faux fur, velvet, cable knit, glass, etc.) and colors (while sticking to a relatively cohesive color palette).

I have the 11 ounce size and it fills our main living space up with its lovely fall scent.

Did you know that Target makes their fall scented candles available in these really fun and festive glass pumpkin jars?! I’m really tempted to try the Vanilla Pumpkin scent; the slightly tinted clear glass is the perfect neutral touch. Plus, it’s functional well after the candle is out as cute fall storage for candy or other goodies.

How cute and festive is this serving board?! It’s the perfect backdrop to your fall cheese platter or holiday meal. The rich brown colors are so gorgeous and the perfect neutral wood.
