The WFH (and Post-work Couch Lounge) Sweatshirt of My Dreams

Best oversized lounge sweatshirt: Aliya Wanek Tig sweatshirt | Cotton Cashmere Cat Hair

I had a wardrobe hole that needed filling: a giant sweatshirt that was nice enough to wear out if needed and cozy enough to wear while lounging (or working) at home. I have a lot of sweatshirts—most of them being merch by some of my favorite artists—but not many of them have that super cozy feel (I think because I didn’t realize how brilliant it is to order a size or two up to take into account shrinkage until recently). I also have some “nicer” sweatshirts that are in my Stylebook closet, namely my Aliya Wanek Ami cropped sweatshirts and a couple from Everlane.

Luckily, I found the perfect sweatshirt to fill my wardrobe gap!

Aliya Wanek Tig Sweatshirt

The Aliya Wanek Tig sweatshirt is everything I wanted in my perfect work from home/post-work couch lounge sweatshirt! It is perfectly oversized and made from the same comfortable hemp and organic cotton blend as the Ami cropped sweatshirt. The Tig is offered in three sizes: 1, which corresponds to sizes S-M; 2, which corresponds to sizes L-XL; and 3, which corresponds to sizes 2X-3X. I’m wearing size 1. I took the Ami in size small for comparison. I’m really hoping this doesn’t shrink as much as my Amis did! (It wasn’t much but still noticeable.)

Made by a Black woman-owned brand, the Tig is dyed and constructed here in the US in six gorgeous colors: sumac (my color), cocoa, olive, fuschia, faded black, and moss (currently sold out). It used to be made in ivory and navy, and if those colors make a comeback I would be very tempted to buy them! The sumac is a lovely rust hue, and I’m absolutely thrilled with it.

I love the long sleeves and how the length covers my butt! It’s perfect to wear with leggings. This is basically the exact outfit I’ve been wearing at home since the sweatshirt arrived in the mail (except for the boots). The addition of my Marc Fisher Izzie boots gives me après ski vibes, and I am not mad about that! Korri and I swung by one of our favorite local coffee shops, Mocha Moose in the north end of Boise, and I got my go-to vanilla chai drink. Yum!

I figured I should note that I’m not yet working from home again because I’ve been waiting on a new work laptop that has been backordered…but I did just submit my telework application because I should be getting my laptop soon! Once I have that, I’ll be working from home three days a week and in the office the other two days. Keep your fingers crossed I can start sooner rather than later!
