Pewter

You may remember from my most recent "Life lately" post that I was debating between three pairs of these Halogen lace-up flats. Well, I decided to take the pewter pair out for a spin; I love how they look with black and burgundy, and I decided that I don't need every single pair of shoes to match every other item in my closet (I already have red flats and green flats that definitely don't match everything).

These shoes were really comfortable up until just after lunchtime. I walked a little bit more than usual on this day, so I got blisters on the back of my heels, and then blisters formed higher on my heels just under where the laces tie through. I was grateful to have had band-aids in my wallet, haha. I also failed at tying them; they definitely needed to be double-knotted so they didn't come undone while I walked! I'm hoping they'll break in a bit because I already have some fall/winter outfit ideas in mind. :)

Side note: This skirt shrunk a bit in the wash and now I'm wishing I had just ordering the regular sizing instead of petite. Ah well, c'est la vie.
