Dakota denim
Greetings from South Dakota! Chris and I road tripped here for a big family reunion on my step mom's side of the family. We celebrated her parents' 50th wedding anniversary in their small town last night with a live band and plenty of food, drinks, and dancing. It's always fun to reconnect with everyone (though poor Chris was overwhelmed by the number of people/names he learned--rightfully so!) and be silly with the cousins.
I was enamored by this outfit when I first tried it on the night before we left. I didn't think this shirt would work with these shorts because they are similar in color, but they are less similar than I thought! Can't go wrong with a little denim-on-denim especially in South Dakota (humidity aside, haha). I finished the look with my matching belt and sandals and monogram necklace to keep things simple. Chris and I wandered to "downtown" to take these photos. The harsh light and my old camera made it difficult to get these shots right, but I liked the yellow effect on the photos...it kind of makes them seem vintage. :)
