Stick of Butter Summer Monochrome Outfit
I love a good monochrome outfit combination, especially a variation with light colors for summer! I’ve been wearing a whole lot of Everlane lately; it’s starting to feel like they’re taking over my closet. Oops! I seem to always be falling in love with something new. I bought this cotton-linen sweater in the spring, and last month, I picked up these cotton twill shorts and knew they would pair perfectly with the sweater. I love wearing sweaters and shorts together—it’s the perfect outfit for a chilly summer day!
When putting together this post, I realized that I wore this exact sweater + necklace + bag combination in this outfit back in May. That outfit featured denim shorts and a different pair of cognac sandals, so it really isn’t that different from this one. Ha! That said, the vibe of this outfit feels totally different to me, which is weird. I think the white shorts make this look feel less casual than the look with denim shorts.
Do you have any plans for the (long) weekend? I have Thursday off of work but not Friday, and I’ll probably end up going in so I can save my PTO. It will probably be super quiet in the office on Friday so that won’t be too bad. :) My plans for the holiday are still TBD…should probably figure that out soon!
