September

I blinked and now it's September. Football season has officially kicked off, the sun is setting earlier and earlier, and today is Labor Day. I definitely appreciated having a long weekend (and mine ended up being extra long since I spent the end of last week in Minneapolis with Korri for our second show on Taylor Swift's Reputation Stadium Tour!). It ended up working out well: after a whirlwind less-than-48-hour trip to Minnesota, I had a couple of extra days to chill. A weekend after my weekend, if you will. ;)

Now that it's September, I'm letting myself slowly transition my outfits to fall as the weather allows. We are still having warm (80-90°F) days for the most part, so linen tees and short hemlines are still necessary to stay cool. For this look, I pulled out my tan faux suede button-front mini skirt and navy velvet 'Kitty' flats to give the linen tee more of a fall vibe. It's all about the texture! :)

I tend to get into the habit of wishing away the end of summer so I can wear my sweaters and ankle boots again, but I'm going to do my best to keep wearing proper summer outfits—as long as the temperatures are summer-like, of course (though dressing for work is like dressing for fall year-round, so I suppose I can't complain about that haha). September is such a fun month for outfits because the weather fluctuates so much that I can wear a wide variety of combinations! Would it be too much to ask for September-like weather year round?
