$241 ($500 quarterly budget - $259 overspent) - $0 (September) - $189 (October) = $52 left for November

Whew, good thing I didn't spend any budget money last month! ;) I went a little bit crazy. October tends to go that way because my birthday is in late September, so I'm usually receiving gifts and using the birthday coupons that retailers send me at the end of the month. I just have to say that I'm so glad I was born in fall; it's so fun to splurge on fall/winter pieces since they're my favorite!

You probably noticed that I basically only shopped two brands this month: Madewell and Everlane. I knew that Madewell had taken over my closet, and Everlane is slowly starting to make an everyday appearance—especially in the fall and winter because I cannot get enough of their cashmere sweaters. They hinted at waffle knit cashmere a few weeks ago, and I made sure I had enough in my budget to splurge on one of those sweaters. It is SO GOOD. I'm obsessed with mine. I got it dirty the second time I wore it (sad trombone), but I've had no problem hand washing my other cashmere sweaters so I'm not too worried about it. I got it in size XS for reference. The details say it fits oversized, but the smalls looked a little bit too oversized on the models and that wasn't the fit I wanted. I got the smaller of my usual sizes and it's slightly oversized but isn't drafty (if you know what I mean).

I also added a pair of Everlane's midrise skinny jeans in black. I got the ankle length since I'm short. I plan to have a review up of my recent Everlane purchases this week, but in the meatime, I got the jeans in my usual size 25. They're tight at first but stretch out with wear. I also finally reordered the striped dress I first tried to order a few months ago. (I was sent the wrong dress!) I sadly won't be able to wear it until it warms up again next year but I couldn't stop thinking about it, so I knew it would be a great piece to have in my wardrobe.

My new Madewell pieces are the medium Transport Tote, a wool baseball cap, and a new-to-me printed beauty from Poshmark. I treated myself to my very own Transport Tote with the help of a birthday coupon and gift card; it's the perfect size for work and not overwhelming on my frame. I also got a fun baseball cap for those bad hair days. ;) The silk top I found while browsing Poshmark and pounced on when the seller dropped the price. It's one of my favorite past prints! I already stained it (ugh), but I'm hoping that the dry cleaner can help me...lol.

Other highlights this month are a new coat in grey from J.Crew Factory and a new pair of sunglasses. I love the style of the city coats (they fit very similar to my city grid coat from Madewell), and I debated between the camel and grey in this style but ended up with grey since I didn't have a grey coat. I got my usual size 0. I also finally ordered myself a new pair of sunglasses in the Shopbop sale! These by Le Specs look similar to my favorite Moorea Seal pair.

This past month, I sold nine items on Poshmark—my most in a single month! It felt good to sell more items than I added to my closet. I hope to sell more this upcoming month so I can add a bit more to my budget since we all know that November sales are coming... I'm seriously considering adding a grey blazer, a sparkly necklace, and some fun and cozy winter wear to my closet next month; we'll see what else manages to sneak its way in. ;)
