Five questions

I have a little bit of a different post for you today! I can't quite get it together to write one of the more involved posts I've been meaning to write, so I was excited to read Grechen's "Five Questions" post and thought it would be fun to answer the questions in my own post. :)

What if you had to choose ONE brand (money no object) to buy clothes from, what would it be? What brand/designer do you think personifies you the best?

I wish I knew of more designers, haha! There must be one that matches my aesthetic. ;) I think I would have to say Madewell. Out of every brand that I own, I definitely own the most variety of items from Madewell (denim, tees, sweaters, dresses, skirts, shoes, jewelry...!). I'm a stripes and denim girl at heart and they have that down to an art. Their denim fits me like a dream. Every season, I add a number of items to my wish list. I often wear outfits made up completely of Madewell items and don't even notice until I make the outfit on Stylebook!

What’s one thing you’ve purged from your wardrobe you wish you had now?

I actually can't think of anything that I wish I still had. I decide to get rid of things after thinking about it for a while and knowing it's the right decision. I do kind of wish I still had my chambray skirt, but I think it was smart to let go of it because it didn't fit me. I learned it's not worth keeping things if they don't fit. I'm currently on the hunt for a worthy replacement!

What’s something you’re hanging on to, but sort of wish you had the courage to let go of?

I have a few items that I haven't worn in a while or don't wear enough to justify keeping, but I keep thinking that I'll wear them at some point so why get rid of them? Even though I'm definitely getting better at not holding onto things, I'm still guilty of it every once in a while! I also have a few items I would get rid of, but I save them because I wear them in costumes... In addition, I have about a million old t-shirts from my youth that I was going to make/get someone to make into a t-shirt quilt, but now I'm wondering if I should just donate them all instead. I don't really need to keep them... (Thoughts?)

If you had to choose 5-10 things from your wardrobe (including shoes & bags) to keep and you had to get rid of everything else, what would you keep?

THIS IS IMPOSSIBLE! Seriously, though. I'm not a minimalist and have so many favorites! Hmmm... I'd definitely pick my Ellen Tracy trench coat and Kate Spade bag. My tops were the hardest to narrow down, but I'd go with my black/white striped tee from J.Crew and grey tee from ModCloth. I'd also keep my pink cashmere sweater from Everlane and black sweater, also from Everlane. For bottoms, I'd keep my Madewell legging jeans because they go with everything and my LOFT windowpane skirt because it's fun and still neutral. My black Sam Edelman ankle boots and beige J.Crew flats could complete pretty much any outfit. Ah! I hope I never actually have to decide this ever.

What are you wearing RIGHT THIS SECOND?

I was planning on wearing a cute outfit and shooting it today, but the weather decided it wasn't going to cooperate! Now I'm being lazy in my navy marled Everlane sweatshirt and black Zella leggings from Nordstrom. :)
