Monday marks the start of another work week…and this is one of my busiest work weeks of the year so far! I’ve been planning a training workshop for myself and others for months and it’s finally happening this week after being rescheduled twice. I keep remembering random things that need to happen, and I’m just hoping I don’t forget to do anything, haha! Fingers crossed it all goes well. Thank goodness I’m not the one actually giving the training. ;)
I’ve been trying to think of what I should wear…and a power outfit like this one is definitely the look I’m going for. I selected the Earth Chestnut heels from their spring/summer collection specifically for outfits like this in mind. These shoes feature a 3.5” heel, but they’re easy walk in thanks to the 1” platform, reinforced arch support, and Earth Powerpath footbed design. I selected black for maximum versatility, but I have to say that I was extremely tempted by the gorgeous terra cotta red. (They’re also available in forest green and dusty pink suede.) I took my usual size 7. I plan to wear these to everything from work to special events like weddings. Any random Monday will do, too, of course!
I picked up these Madewell paperbag pants last month and have been waiting to pair them with these heels ever since! I kept the rest of the look simple with a basic white tee (honestly the best white tee I’ve owned). As always, I carry my Madewell medium Transport tote every day to work and love how the cognac contrasts against the black and white. I am considering having the pants shortened just a tiny bit to show a bit more ankle but I might give it a couple more wears before I decide for sure. I’m happy to report that I had no issues with static which is what I was most worried about! I’m excited to wear both the pants and the heels throughout this spring and summer.
