I've been blogging for nearly five years now, and never once did it cross my mind that I would ever do a photo shoot with a car. LOL. I shared the spotlight with a '66 Thunderbird—it's in Korri's family, so eventually it will end up with us. We were tasked with driving it around last weekend prior to it having the transmission rebuilt due to a leak. It recently had other repairs, and we had to make sure nothing else was wrong. Do you see how the window is down on the passenger side? Yeah, it got stuck down... (wasn't my fault, though, haha!). I was surprised at how well it drove considering its age! Though, it doesn't have working A/C so that was definitely not pleasant in 90°F+ heat. ;)
I thought it would be fun to shoot with the Thunderbird kind of out in the middle of nowhere, and I planned on a somewhat retro outfit for the occasion (though I think the shorts are the only thing that could possibly pass as retro). I love wearing heeled sandals with these shorts, especially these beige wedge sandals in particular, because my legs always feel super long. In hindsight, I probably would leave the hat behind, but only because it was crazy windy! The photos without me holding my hat were literally taken in 1-second spurts when the wind died down, and we got plenty of outtakes.
Hope you all have a great weekend! My 10-year high school reunion is this weekend. WHEW.
