Striped—not spotted
Saturday marked another one of J.Crew's made-up National Stripes Day. It's no secret that I'm a fan of stripes; they're my favorite pattern to wear, and I own 22 articles of clothing/pairs of shoes that feature the well-loved staple. It's hard to pick a favorite striped item, but I think this tee would win. I love wearing it every single time!
I actually didn't wear this outfit on #nationalstripesday; I wore this outfit on Friday to run to the office. I mentioned in Friday's Life Lately post that my boyfriend, Korri, hurt his knee skiing and probably has an MCL tear (we won't know for sure until later this week). I worked from home most of the day Friday to take care of him, but I did have to run in to drop off what I finished on Thursday and grab some more to do. When a colleague saw what I was wearing, he shared a fabulous "Dad joke" that I'm now obsessed with: Why does Waldo wear stripes? Because he doesn't want to be spotted. ;)
I quickly threw this outfit on in the morning without thinking much about it and ended up loving it enough to shoot and share here! It feels like that rarely happens anymore, but now that we are finally getting a small taste of spring, it's been a bit easier to put together outfits. This one isn't terribly interesting because I didn't accessorize whatsoever, but I love each individual piece so much so I especially love them together. I know it's an outfit I'll repeat again and again!
P.S. I'm not entirely sure how many outfits I'll be able to shoot while Korri is hurt and on crutches, but he absolutely insists on still shooting outfits. I'm feeling very lucky that he's willing to help out even when he's hurt! I'm still trying to think of more non-outfit-posts to share until he's solidly back on both feet, though.
