Summer separates

This summer, I am all about the separates. In years past, I gravitated towards mostly dresses in the summertime because they're so easy to throw on and go, but now I have really embraced the mix-and-match potential of separates. My wardrobe feels more fresh when I have a lot of outfit options, and this is key for me in the summer when dressing myself can feel a bit blah at times! Does anyone else feel the same way, or are you all about dresses? I think part of it is also because I need to upgrade (or enhance) the dress portion of my wardrobe.

My navy silk shell from Grana (read my review) pairs perfectly with my white eyelet skirt that I bought last year from J.Crew.
