Fall 2025 Wardrobe Additions

I didn’t add that many new items to my wardrobe all year until these past few months, ha. I can partially blame the fact that, back in September, I started horseback riding lessons again after a 15-year break! I needed a few tops to wear to lessons (and this post doesn’t include my multiple breeches purchases, which have been a little bit too frequent as of late because there are so many new brands since I last rode).

Below, I rounded up everything I added to my wardrobe this past fall! All of my 2025 clothing purchases can be found on this Pinterest board. I also shared the items I tried and returned and what’s coming up for winter!

Fall 2025 Clothing Budget & Wardrobe Additions

$600 (quarterly budget) = $600 - $479.50 ($268 September + $137 October + $74.50 November) => $120.50 left over

Items I added to my wardrobe:

I own a pair of Girlfriend Collective bike shorts that are a few years old now, and I’d been wanting another pair but with pockets this time. I was boring and bought the bike short in black, size medium (my first pair is a size small). The sizing must have changed between then and now because the medium fits much tighter than I was expecting it to. Honestly, between the sizing and how awful these smelled when I got them (they finally smell okay after going through the wash five times), I probably should have returned these…

I also grabbed a matching sports bra (in size small), and the fit is good for a sports bra. Like the shorts, the bra smelled so bad when I got it! It’s also been through the wash a few times and smells fine now. Annoying, though. I purchased both before Girlfriend Collective raised prices due to tariffs.

I looked at my existing wardrobe and decided I could use a couple more tees to wear for horseback riding lessons. I actually used to ride in polos 15-20 years ago, and when I saw this polo on the Quince website, I figured I’d give it a shot! I haven’t worn it yet, but the fit is slim (I got heather ocean navy in size medium). I haven’t put it in my Stylebook app.

I can’t remember why exactly I ordered these bike shorts; I’m sure I just wanted to try them! I’m glad I did, though, and I will likely order more. They’re so soft and stretchy—and are probably the most comfortable bike shorts I own. I love them for barre classes. I ordered the plum color in size medium with the 7” inseam.

In addition to the polo, I also purchased this merino wool tee in black, size medium for its temperature regulating capabilities. I love the loose fit, but I did notice that the seams twisted after being washed (and air dried). I have also not added this tee to my Stylebook app yet and haven’t decided if I want to.

This is the same tee as the short-sleeve tee above but with long sleeves. I also purchased it in black, size medium. It’s worked great for my lessons! I will also say that the texture of these merino wool tees changes after being washed, so just something to keep in mind. This tee isn’t in my Stylebook app, either.

I purchased these silk pants in wine tasting red, size medium, and wore them to my cousin’s wedding in September along with a black top. I thought I packed them like a genius (rolled up), but there were wrinkles on every roll, haha! Luckily, one of my brothers brought a steamer, and it smoothed out seamlessly. I loved these; it honestly felt like I was wearing pajamas—so comfy! I’d worry about sweat if wearing them on a hot day.

This is another top I bought for riding in the cold winter months. I ordered it in black, size medium, and it’s sooo comfy! I’ve worn it twice already and wanted more colors, except when putting together this post, I realized this style went on sale and now is out of stock! I’m so bummed I missed the sale. I paid full price a few weeks ago.

This is my first item from Uniqlo’s PUFFTECH collection. I already have a similar lightweight puffer coat, but I ordered this one in size medium because my other coat is a size small and is snug on my shoulders (especially if wearing layers). I thought this would be a good option for riding lessons since there is more room through the shoulders. It doesn’t feel like it would be particularly warm, so I’m not sure it’ll work for winter like I was hoping it would (though I could try a couple of layers underneath…).

I am clearly obsessed with these cropped bra tops because I can’t seem to stop adding more to my wardrobe!!! I swear a third of my closet space is dedicated to these, and what even are real bras? 😆 I saw these striped tops and ordered them in both colors; at that sale price, I couldn’t resist. I wear these in size medium!

Items not included in clothing budget:

Shoot, the exact colorway of this pajama set I ordered is now sold out and I forgot to grab a photo of it! Quince released a fun fair isle print for the holidays, and I love sleeping in bamboo pajamas (and sheets); I can only wear long pajama pants if they’re bamboo or else I need to be in shorts. This pajama set feels so luxurious. I’m going to wear them for our family photos! I ordered size medium.

Items I tried and returned:

I should have returned some of the items I ordered and kept, but alas, I did not, and I also didn’t order and return anything else.

What’s on deck for winter:

Did I need more sneakers? No. Did Allbirds have a great Black Friday sale? Yes! Haha. Also, I filled a couple of holes in my sneaker collection with my purchases AND tried a couple of new-to-me styles. I ordered the Tree Runner NZ in natural black with the white (blizzard) sole in size 7.

In order to get free shipping, and because the sale price of both pairs of shoes was about half of their regular price, I got a second pair. I figure either pair will make excellent sneaker options for future trips abroad. I ordered the medium grey color with the white sole in size 7, a color I’ve had my eyes on for a few years. I opted for the NZ style in both shoes because reviews said they were sturdier and comfier than the original styles.

I love wearing joggers to work from home, lounge around the house in general, travel, run errands, etc. I wanted to try Quince’s joggers in two colors I don’t own. I ordered both in size medium. I’m hoping they’re a good alternative to the Vuori joggers (I love mine but they aren’t cheap).

How cute is this headband?! I wear beanies a lot in the winter, but they often make my head too hot or itchy, so I wanted to try these cashmere headbands. I just want my ears to stay warm in the winter.

I tried Quince’s long puffer jacket nearly two years ago and ended up returning it because I wasn’t a fan of the shiny black color. At the time, there were only a handful of color options. I’ve reordered it in the fun sea spray green color and hope it looks as pretty in person as it does on my screen!
