13 Best Taylor Swift Quotes from the New Heights Podcast

Today’s post is a fun one inspired by the most recent New Heights podcast episode featuring none other than TAYLOR SWIFT! As a proud Swiftie since she released Tim McGraw in 2006, it was such a thrill for me to hear her in conversation for TWO full hours. That’s longer than the entire Miss Americana documentary! It’s just such a treat to hear her speak and to see her so comfortable and vulnerable with Jason and Travis Kelce.

I loved so many of the quotes Taylor said on her first ever podcast that I needed a place to keep them all so I could continue to refer back to them whenever I needed. What better place than right here on CCCH? You could also bookmark or pin this post and come back to it when you need to, too! (Or you could re-watch/listen to the podcast episode… I’ll be doing both! 😆)

Below, I rounded up 13 of the best Taylor Swift quotes from the New Heights podcast. Taylor, if you happen to be reading my blog (I know I don’t blog about sourdough, but I can dream, right? I’ll die dead if I find out she did!), thank you for continuing to share your wisdom with us! We may be the same age but I’ll always look up to you. 🫶🏻

13 Best Taylor Swift Quotes from the New Heights Podcast

If you haven’t yet watched or listened to Taylor Swift’s episode on New Heights (her podcasting debut!), I highly recommend watching or listening to it (watching it is better to see body language and cute gestures and things). It’s honestly a Swiftie’s dream come true to see her so happy and to see Travis beaming next to her! 🎶 It’s been a long time coming… 🎶

In the two-hour-long show, they cover everything from Taylor reclaiming her masters to life after The Eras Tour, her hobbies (currently perfecting sourdough bread), her social media boundaries, meeting Travis and attending his games, and of course, “new news” about her brand new forthcoming album, The Life of a Showgirl (plus so much more, it was too much to list here!).

I picked out a 13 (of course) of my favorite soundbites that I wanted to remember. Hope you enjoy! And please let me know in the comments if there’s another Taylor quote you loved from the show. ❤️‍🔥 I loved this so much and hope she does more podcasts in the future!

On Her Recent Sourdough Obsession

1. “Girl, I’m on your blog.”

TAYLOR READS BLOGS! (Sourdough blogs, but STILL!) Thank you for shouting out blogs, Taylor, and reminding people that blogging isn’t dead.

2. “It’s a loaf story, baby just say yeast.”

Taylor blurted out so many great puns when talking about her current cooking obsession: making sourdough bread in a variety of flavors! I really loved this play on Love Story lyrics.

3. “Loafing him was bread.”

This sourdough pun made me laugh because her doubled-over-laughing reaction coupled with Travis’s confused look on his face trying to place the lyric was just -chef’s kiss- perfection.

On Being an Athlete (or Not)

4. “It’s not part of my metrics for my self worth.”

Travis considers Taylor an athlete because of what she was able to do physically during The Eras Tour (3.5-hour-long sets multiple nights in a row), she denies it… She is content not being an athlete and doesn’t get embarrassed if she isn’t able to throw a ball on target. A good reminder to let go of things that really don’t matter to you!

5. “He see what he wants to see, and it bodes well for me.”

The unintentional (or intentional?) rhyme does it for me. Plus, don’t we all just want a partner that uplifts us always? Love that for her!

On Andy Reid’s Leadership as Kansas City Chiefs Head Coach

6. “When you lose your shit, you lose your leadership.”

Taylor praised Andy’s leadership style when talking about how he was the one that connected her and Travis, and I appreciated this nugget that anyone can take away from that conversation. Don’t lose your shit in front of your team!

On Having Strong Internet Boundaries

7. “Anything you feed your brain, it will internalize; anything you feed the internet, it will kill.”

I’m not sure if I’ve heard truer words. I need to write this on multiple sticky notes and place them everywhere so that I’m constantly reminded of it.

8. “Something can be about me…and it can still be none of my business.”

Learn to ignore internet chatter that doesn’t matter!

9. “You should think of your energy as if it’s expensive, as if it’s like a luxury item. Not everyone can afford it. Not everyone has invested in you in order to be able to have the capital for you to care about this.”

This was my favorite Taylor Swift quote of the whole podcast. I need this framed in my house and in my office. She has such a big, beautiful, lyrical business brain.

10. “What you spend your energy on, that’s the day.”

Don’t put your energy into interacting with mean people on the internet. Don’t let a rude comment ruin your day. This could also apply to life outside the internet; don’t let a bad driver or random stranger ruin your day.

11. “Information is power…unless all of your information is geared towards you thinking that everything is about you.”

Not every piece of information or person you come across on the internet is for you; you’re not the main character.

On the Cleaning Cart at The Eras Tour

12. “If you can’t get joy from silly little things, like the mop cart, you’re doing it wrong.”

I love that Taylor’s mop cart brought her so much joy on The Eras Tour. It also brought Swifties so much joy once we realized that’s how she got to the stage! Life is short, find silly little things to make it joyful.

On Making Unfortunate Judgement Calls

13. “Well, now I know.”

Sometimes, you don’t know that something isn’t for you until after you try it. Don’t beat yourself up about inconsequential bad decisions. Catalog that information and move on with your life!
