Recent beauty re-buys and new buys from Sephora — Cotton Cashmere Cat Hair

Hello from your resident non-beauty-guru! I like to think that I don’t spend a ton of time, money, or effort on how I look…and then I see the email from Sephora telling me I renewed my VIB status for 2020. Ha! I still don’t spend a whole lot of time on my day-to-day beauty/skincare routine. I have a bunch of tried-and-true favorites that I will probably use until they are discontinued (let’s hope that never happens), and I have a pretty simple everyday look. Here are some of my recent beauty-related re-buys and a few new items I wanted to try! Have you tried any good beauty products recently?!

RE-BUYS

Farmacy Green Clean makeup removing cleansing balm / I use this in the shower to take off my makeup prior to washing my face. I find that I need to use a decent amount to remove my stubborn mascara (even though it’s not waterproof mascara, it’s so hard to remove!) but I still think it’s worth the price as it doesn’t require vigorously rubbing my eyes to remove it!

Anastasia Beverly Hills clear brow gel / A holy grail product! I have thick, unruly eyebrows, and I truly don’t know how I lived before discovering brow gel. I have repurchased this brow gel countless times and I think I have two backups waiting for when my current gel runs out (probably soon). Love it!

Dior Lip Glow in pink / This is my go-to lip product, which you probably noticed because I wear it in 90% of my outfit shoots. I love, love the pink color and how it feels on my lips. I actually just used up one of these! I like to have two because I’m worried I might misplace one…plus I can keep them in separate bags! (I also just learned that it’s no longer called the Dior ‘Addict’ Lip Glow…ha!)

NEW BUYS

REN ClearCalm non-drying acne treatment gel / Ever since getting my IUD two and a half years ago, I’ve been dealing with minor breakouts on my face and back, especially around my period. (So fun!) I’ve been trying various acne creams with not much success…but it’s possible that my standards are too high. I’m giving this gel a try after reading the great reviews. Fingers crossed it helps!

Tarte Tarteguard mineral powder sunscreen / I’ve written before about the Peter Thomas Roth mineral powder sunscreen, which I loved, but it has since exploded in my makeup bag… So, I’ve been looking to try something else. The Tarte powder sunscreen got better reviews so I have high hopes!

Fenty Beauty Pro Filt’r instant retouch concealer in 120 / I’ve used the popular NARS Radiant creamy concealer for years but heard great things about Fenty Beauty so decided to give that concealer a try, especially because it’s cruelty-free. I don’t think it blends into my skin as well as the NARS concealer, so I’m not sure yet if I’d repurchase, but it does seem like I picked the correct shade on the first try which is nice. ;) I’m not sure if my skin is too oily or too dry when I apply it but it takes some time to work it into my skin all the way.
