My feelings on the Valentine’s Day holiday are pretty ambivalent; I’d much rather not do anything special that day or night and make other random nights during the year special. There’s just too much pressure surrounding the holiday itself, when in reality, it’s just another day. That said, I love wearing a good pink and red color combination, especially in February!

I pulled out my pink chenille sweater and red ankle boots for this casual Valentine’s Day-ready look. This sweater has been so fun to wear! Even though it was an impulse purchase, it was one of those impulse purchases that I didn’t immediately regret—and I still don’t regret it a few months later. The red ankle boots (Madewell ‘Regan’ style) were recently featured in my style sudoku, but I didn’t give them a break for long. How could I not wear them in a Valentine’s Day-inspired outfit?! ;) I hope to wear them again on the actual holiday, but it’s looking like we might get a decent snowstorm this weekend…sigh. I know it’s only early February, but I’m ready for spring!
