October Style Sudoku: Outfits 6–10

OUTFIT 6 • Friday, October 18th
Even though I’m a fan of wearing olive in any season, I’ve decided that if I do wear it, the outfit immediately screams fall. Wouldn’t you agree? I’ve gotten a lot of wear out of these jeans outside of my style sudoku because of that! There isn’t much more to say about this outfit; I wore it to work and felt pulled together (thanks mostly to the hat!) AND cozy at the same time. Plus, as you know, I’m a big fan of this color combination. Win-win!

OUTFIT 7 • Saturday, October 19th
We got a crazy, amazing thunderstorm around noon! Korri and I went out to “storm chase” and saw lots of lightning and small hail. Pretty exciting stuff around here, especially in October. ;) Later in the day, we decided to run some errands. We swung by the mall, where I was planning to buy some candles from Bath & Body Works but they didn’t have any fall-scented candles anymore. :( Then we stopped by Lowe’s to grab a few things, and I found a nutcracker to add to my collection. Our last stop was Costco but it had closed two hours prior to us getting there—haha! We stopped for take-out dinner and then watched the Boise State football game at my dad’s house. (It was…not a good game.)
I wasn’t quite sure about this outfit when I put my style sudoku together. The sweater is cognac brown, which I don’t mind wearing with black, but I wasn’t sure how I would feel about all the black and the jeans that read more grey than black (I don’t like grey and brown together). I ended up liking it more than I thought I would, but I likely won’t wear it again. It was a comfy outfit for a Saturday.

OUTFIT 8 • Sunday, October 20th
Sunday was low-key compared to the excitement of Saturday (ha). We made our way to Costco along with everyone else in the valley, we watched the Seahawks football game (neither Boise State nor the Seahawks had a good weekend), and we went to the grocery store. Thrilling day, I tell you. ;) I picked a simple outfit for the day’s activities. As much as I wanted to (and did) include this sweater, it probably wasn’t the best choice because it’s just a touch too cropped for my high-rise jeans. I was constantly yanking on it, especially when I wore it to work! It probably would have been better to include my pink chenille sweater instead…

OUTFIT 9 • Monday, October 21st
I wore the same shirt and jean combination on Monday as I did the previous Friday and just now realized it. Oops! I doubt anyone noticed, though…and if they did, they didn’t say anything. (Heck, I didn’t even notice!) I used to get so worried about wearing the same item multiple times in the same week and think that people would judge me for it, but honestly, no one ever notices. I’m probably the only one who would notice because I pay closer attention to what people wear than the average person, and I only notice it if someone wears the same “uniform” for weeks in a row.
Life is too short to not wear the comfy flannel shirt and favorite olive skinny jeans over and over again, right? ;) I also love the subtle sparkle provided by the necklace peeking out from under the collar!

OUTFIT 10 • Tuesday, October 22nd
Another work day…super exciting. ;) A few sneaky showers showed up during the day, but it had mostly dried out before I headed home from work. Whew! This is another color combination I’m a fan of, especially in the cooler months. Burgundy is always a good idea, isn’t it? I’m so glad I picked up these jeans a month ago—they go well with flats or boots, plus they’re incredibly comfortable to boot (see what I did there?).
