It's casual

I'm sooo excited that this weekend is a three-day weekend. This was the first full work week after the holidays, and it was a little rough! Don't you think every weekend should be three days long? 

This may surprise you, but I wore this outfit to work last week! It's a little more casual than I usually dress for work, but it was a Friday, so...it felt appropriate, haha. Even though the sweater hoodie is not formal at all, it doesn't look sloppy thanks to the fit. It hadn't been worn since I moved, but I'm glad I dug it up from the depths of my unpacked bags; it pulls double duty for work and home quite well! Of course, I wore my patent leather ankle boots. Are you sick of seeing them yet? ;) I hope not, because I'm not sick of wearing them!

As an aside, we took these photos by the river. You can kind of see the water line on the wall behind me; that's how high the river was this past spring! It was flooding like crazy. Sadly, we've had pretty much no snow so far this winter, so it doesn't look like another high water year (good because the river won't flood but bad because, well, we/farmers rely on that water in the hot summer months).
