Today marks the end of my 28th year on Earth, so I'm officially not going to be a member of the 27 Club. Woo! ;) In her song, Colors, Halsey sings, "I hope you make it to the day you're 28 years old." Well, Halsey: I made it!

To commemorate, I've got a whole lot of nothing going on today until the evening. By the time you read this, it will already be the evening. Doesn't it feel like birthdays always fly by? At least my birthday feels like the unofficial start to the holiday season. Fall is officially here, and in three short months we'll be full of yuletide cheer. (I'm a poet and I don't even know it.)

I originally was going to write a more thoughtful post today but couldn't get my act together. I had my first official "business trip" this week (it was the last of my training) so I haven't had the time or mental capacity to think a whole lot about what I wanted to write about because I was frantically trying to put up two other posts this week in between work obligations. I did want to put together one of those "30 before 30" lists now since it'll give me two years to complete everything, but I haven't even started writing that list.

Anyway, let's talk about today's look. I actually didn't realize that I was wearing entirely Grana until writing the outfit details below. It's weird how that works out. This was the second time wearing this bomber jacket (first time blogging it), mostly because it's just a bit too small/short in the arms. I recently ordered the same jacket but in olive green and in a size up. I'm quite annoyed by the way Grana sews the pockets shut on this jacket; I accidentally cut small holes in the pockets while trying to remove the stitching because they weren't able to be easily pulled apart.

That all said, I'm a fan of this look. The pink pants may be sweet, but the bomber jacket and lace-up flats tone the sweetness down. Instead of wearing black stripes, I went with burgundy because it is fall, after all (plus burgundy and blush pink go so well together). It'd be a perfect outfit for a concert or night out downtown! Hope you have a rockin' weekend!
