When it came to packing for our trip to Florida, in addition to considering a somewhat cohesive color palette for my mini wardrobe, I tried to think of some "blogworthy" outfits. (I love dressing for the places I travel!) However, I didn't want to have a planned outfit every day of the trip just in case a day didn't call for one. This outfit was one of two that I had planned ahead of time, and it worked perfectly for strolling along the beach (we shot these photos off a fishing dock at the beach) and visiting the sea turtles in rehab at the Turtle Hospital! I wore the other outfit I planned ahead of time to Key West but didn't end up photographing it because, as I said in a previous post, I sweat through it pretty quickly... (You couldn't tell, but still. We were all so hot and uncomfortable!)

By far my favorite aspect of our trip was the fact that we prioritized the idea of "doing nothing". We still did fun things like water activities, the Turtle Hospital, and Key West, but we mainly just sat around, soaking up the sun, and indulging in some delicious food and drinks (and hoping we didn't burn or get eaten by bugs in the process, haha). We made friends with the neighborhood iguanas. My dad, brothers, and boyfriend went fishing one morning (in a thunderstorm... don't do that!), and we had fish tacos for dinner that night. On another night, I tried my hand at making a frosé for the first time (a frozen rosé slushie, if you didn't know). I basically put the entire bottle of rosé in the blender—half in the form of ice cubes, half in the form of liquid—and added fresh strawberries. It was delicious! I definitely should probably follow a recipe next time, though, haha. It was a bit heavy on the wine. ;) When on vacation, though, right?! Have you made frosé before, and if so, what recipe did you use? I want to make it again sometime soon! It'd be the perfect post-work summer drink.
