3 Recent Additions to My Shower Routine

3 additions to shower routine: Clinique makeup remover, Clarins body scrub, Moroccanoil treatment — Cotton Cashmere Cat Hair

A few months ago, I ordered some new-to-me products to try from Sephora. As you can probably tell, I'm not nearly as into beauty products as I am clothes and shoes. ;) If I find something that seems to work for me, I'll basically keep using it as long as its made because I'm lazy. That said, I follow a number of style bloggers who also have an interest in beauty products, and because of them, I decided to try some new items: Moroccan oil for my hair and a new eye makeup remover. At the time, I had recently run out of a body scrub I had been using, so I also added a body scrub to the order. All three have found a spot in my current shower routine! (Plus there's a bonus item at the end I couldn't help but include, too!)

Clinique 'Take The Day Off' Makeup Remover / I was using a more oily makeup remover before trying this and I prefer how this one is less oily (I always wash my face after using it to remove any excess). I used to just dip a finger in the remover and then rub my eyes to remove my mascara, but it still left residue under my eyes. Cotton pads are best at removing all traces of mascara. Still, I wonder if there's a makeup remover that can better handle my mascara (or I should try a mascara that is easier to remove, haha; I don't even use waterproof mascara!). I wish I had purchased a travel size of this!

Clarins Exfoliating Body Scrub / Like the makeup remover, I first tried a less expensive body scrub from Target and wanted to see if a more expensive scrub was really better. I searched Sephora and read reviews of a few different body scrubs before settling on this one. I absolutely love the smell of this scrub! It's so luxurious. That said, I can't tell if it's really helping the rough spots (my upper legs and feet). Since it's so expensive, I'm not sure I'd buy this exact scrub again...but I haven't used a whole lot of the product yet, so maybe I'll notice a difference once I've used more.

Moroccanoil Treatment / I've heard nothing but good things about this product, so I was really excited to try it. It didn't let me down! I use a small dollop on the ends and bottom of my hair when it's still damp after showering and let it air dry. I love the smell, and it seems to make my hair softer and shinier. I buy the smaller container because it's better for travel (and if you buy two smaller containers, it's cheaper than the larger container even though it's the same amount of product). I've already purchased this again!

Aquis Lisse Luxe hair towel — Cotton Cashmere Cat Hair

BONUS!

Aquis Lisse Luxe Hair Towel / I originally wasn't going to include this item in this post (mostly because I didn't photograph it with the other three items), but now that I've had it for a couple of months, I couldn't not mention it! I have a bunch of baby hairs around my face, and I wondered if my normal towel was responsible for the breakage and frizziness I was experiencing. I figured I didn't have much to lose by trying a towel designed for hair only. I got the normal size "Lisse Luxe" towel and love it! (Though I might also buy the version for long hair now that I'm growing my hair out again.) My hair is noticeably drier in a shorter amount of time when I use it. The only downside is that if I bend over, it will fall out, but I wonder if it's because it's a bit small for the amount of hair I have. I would still highly recommend one! :) It's available at SephoraAmazon, Nordstrom, and Anthropologie, or you can buy it direct from Aquis.
