Back to school cool + changing research methods

Striped crop top, white eyelet skirt, grey New Balance sneakers -- Cotton Cashmere Cat Hair

The fall semester started here last week. Even though it means nothing in terms of my schedule since I'm not taking any classes, it does mean there are exponentially more people on campus (and on the bus) and that my advisor has his mind split between teaching and advising. We haven't had a proper meeting in a couple of weeks (save for the joint meetings we have with our collaborator in the math department). We totally changed the method we're using for my research, so I've been spending my time between recoding the method and writing the paper that I'm supposed to have submitted soon. The problem is that this new method totally screwed up everything and now I have to figure out what happened and come up with some solution. Oh, the joys of being a grad student. :) I'll be happy when it's all figured out! I see Taylor Swift tomorrow (YAY!), so at least I have that to look forward to.

ANYWAY. I mostly just wanted to talk about this outfit but then that paragraph just kind of spewed out of me. Haha. This outfit feels kind of random to me. I have no idea why I thought it up, but it's been sitting in my list of outfit ideas since I got this skirt. I wanted to wear something a little different, a little sporty yet with the feminine flair. I think this outfit nails that. I kept the look super simple and opted to not wear any accessories.
