Summer in navy

Welp, here I am wearing navy again! I'm not entirely sure why I'm drawn to it so much considering it's really not the best color to wear when it's 95+ degrees outside. I'm embracing it, though, as evidenced by this navy-stripes-on-solid-navy look I wore earlier this week. This top was an impulse purchase from Anthropologie and one I definitely do not regret. I'm all about the interesting tops, especially in the summer when layering doesn't happen, and this is perfect because it's striped and swingy. I kind of always have an eye out for interesting tops honestly!

I also upgraded from the navy shorts I had last year to a pair with a 4" inseam. 3" feels just a little bit too short now (though I still have my 3" mint shorts and 3" cobalt shorts; I've been considering upgrading those, too). I also prefer J.Crew's chinos to J.Crew Factory's; the factory chinos are considerably thinner and wrinkle way easier. The price of the retail chinos isn't as nice, but I think it's worth it from a quality standpoint. To complete this look, I opted to go with my neutral wedged sandals, and I seriously felt like I had legs for days!
