This November looks similar to last November—low spending (relatively speaking). I think it's because I hold off for the good sales at the end of the month, and for that reason (plus all the amazing sales in December), I tend to have a much heftier December budget post. I have ordered items from J.Crew Factory, Bloomingdale's, Gap, and Express that have yet to arrive and will thus appear in next month's budget post.

My absolute favorite purchase of the month is my beautiful new 'City Grid' coat from Madewell. I never thought I'd own a coat like this at this point in my life, and now I want more, ha! I would not have been able to afford it had I not been first in line at my local store opening last month. The first 25 people receive gift cards, and the first person in line receives a $250 gift card...suffice to say that I could not believe my luck! I ended up not spending it on opening day, and I later decided to purchase an item I would not have been able to purchase otherwise. After browsing the site, I decided on this coat, and I waited until the right promo came along. Well, the promo never came. A few weekends ago, my size was in low stock so I frantically went to the store and ordered it with my student discount because some discount is better than none. ;) I'm so, so happy with this coat. It is gorgeous! I ended up buying my normal size after trying on both my normal size and one size down in store. The size smaller felt too tight in the shoulders.

My other purchases included this plaid dress (worn by Taylor Swift, of course) from Bloomingdale's, which I snatched up during their friends and family sale a couple of weeks ago. It is very short, but it will look adorable with tights now and with a skirt layered over it in the warmer months. This may or may not have been a bad purchasing decision, but time will tell! For now, I am excited about it. :) I also bought a quartz pendant necklace from a college acquaintance of mine. Check out her Etsy shop for more bohemian-style jewelry!

As I said before, December looks to be a purchase-heavy month, as I've already placed four orders that will show up in the next couple of weeks and plan on placing more. I didn't do a whole lot of in-person Black Friday shopping; I went out with Chris, but I didn't really browse for items myself. There are so many things on my wish list right now. I fell in love with a coat I saw at Nordstrom Rack a couple of weeks ago, so I'm hoping to find it again. I also want to buy some goodies from Moorea Seal and perhaps a scarf from H&M. I'm so overwhelmed by all of the sales happening right now!
