Grey-zy in love

Image

I've discovered that I'm always drawn to grey garments. While I work on curating my perfect wardrobe, I keep in mind a color scheme so that everything will go together, and grey is definitely in that color scheme. I tried to get into browns, but other than my boots, which are various shades of brown, I'm drawn to blacks and greys. (It's really not good considering my three partially white cats.) Instead of going full monochrome with this outfit, I added my cognac boots. In hindsight, I sort of wish I would have gone with grey or black shoes.

I was -this close- to wearing another grey sweater today, but I decided against it because I really wanted to wear my bright red sweater! Today was cooler (but still upper 60s), but the sweater was perfect because I didn't really need a jacket. As much as I love layering sometimes, it's nice to not have to worry about layers.

Chris and I have a jam-packed weekend planned, and I'm so excited! I'll have to make an update about it in the next post. Our semester is also wrapping up soon and I've been SO busy with a term project and with paper edits. I feel like I have at least a week's worth of work to do in the next four days...so that's fun. I try to get my work done at school so I don't have to do anything at home, but I'm feeling like I will need to work this weekend. #gradstudentlife
