Groundbreaking

You'd be hard-pressed to find a fashion/style blogger who hasn't referenced the well-known "Florals? For spring? Groundbreaking." quote from The Devil Wears Prada. (I haven't seen that movie in so long and I feel a strong need to remedy that.) I mean, seriously though. You can't go wrong with florals...in the spring. They just go together. You know, the snow melts (ideally--sorry East Coast!) and the sun shines a little higher in the sky and things start blooming. It's just what happens. Yay for seasons!

You know what doesn't go together? Floral skirts and wind. I always look at the forecast and get excited for a nice day because then I get to wear a dress or skirt. You know what I always forget about? The fact that if the next day is cooler, that means there's going to be a frontal passage. And that means--you guessed it--WIND. Duh. Hello. I should remember this because I'm studying the atmosphere, but no. I forget almost every time.

I had to break out the tights after the cold front passed. I love the color of these tights, but there are little pulls all over them as if one of my cats attacked them one day. A couple of months ago, I did accidentally close Sybil in the drawer where my tights live. She was in there the entire time I was at school, so she likely tried to dig herself out at some point. Then she probably made a nest. My clothes were in such disarray! Ah well. At least I shouldn't need them much for the next few months, and then I can get new tights when fall rolls around again.
