Sarah Flint Natalie Flat Review + Casual Summer Office Style

How to Style the Sarah Flint Natalie Flat in a Casual Summer Work Outfit | Cotton Cashmere Cat Hair

I’m so excited to introduce you to the Sarah Flint brand and share my review of the Sarah Flint Natalie flat! I’ve been admiring the brand from afar for years now and am thrilled for this opportunity to be a brand ambassador and to share more about the brand and their beautiful handcrafted shoes.

I asked for your help selecting my first pair of Sarah Flint shoes over on Instagram stories. I was leaning towards a pair of shoes that wasn’t the Natalie flat (mostly because I felt like most ambassadors selected that flat and I wanted to see if you’d be interested in learning more about another style), but you all voted overwhelmingly for the Natalie flat in saddle vachetta. Haha!

Below, I shared my full review of the Natalie flat (including sizing information), plus how I styled them in a fun casual summer work outfit. There’s also a discount code for you!

Please note that I received a pair of shoes courtesy of the brand but no monetary compensation. As always, all views are my own. Thank you so much for your support!

About the Sarah Flint Brand

Sarah Flint started her eponymous brand because she wanted to provide women with beautiful, practical shoes without the luxury markup. Sarah works closely with the manufacturers in Italy (every shoe is handcrafted in Italy at the same manufacturers as other luxury brands) to produce shoes that she would wear herself. As a direct-to-consumer brand, Sarah Flint strives for style without sacrificing design, quality, and comfort.

Every piece of the Sarah Flint experience is considered, all the way down to the packaging. You’ll open your box of new Sarah Flint shoes to beautiful patterned tissue paper wrapped around a blue shoe box. Around the shoe box is a vibrant navy ribbon, and inside, you’ll find your shoes wrapped in fabric and individually placed in their own dust bags.

The Sarah Flint Natalie flat is an absolutely gorgeous flat. There’s a reason why it’s one of their most popular styles! The high-quality leather is thin but structured and not at all dainty; they really feel like they’ll just get better with age, especially in the color I selected, saddle vachetta. The craftsmanship of Sarah Flint shoes really is noticeable!

I did experience a bit of rubbing at the back of my feet when first wearing the Natalie, but I wonder if it’s because my feet are used to sandals right now. A little bit of moleskin fixed that problem for me! I know others have experienced NO break-in time with these flats and other Sarah Flint styles, and you might be one of the lucky ones.

Natalie Flat Sizing

As mentioned above, the Natalie flat fits true to size for feet that are considered “medium” or average in width. For wider feet, they recommend trying a half size up. The Natalie flat is designed to fit comfortably snug initially and will stretch in width with wear.

I originally tried the Natalie in my true size, US 7 (Euro/Italy 37). I own two other pairs of designer shoes in that size (Ferragamo and Charlotte Olympia). My toes felt like they were too squished, so I exchanged them for a US 7.5 (Euro/Italy 37.5). (I own J.Crew flats in size 7.5.) The length is much more comfortable in size 7.5! I did end up putting some moleskin at the back of the shoes to help with the break-in and to keep them snug on my feet. The Sarah Flint team is more than happy to work with you to find the best fit!

The Natalie flat is available in sizes US 4 (Euro/Italy 34) all the way to US 12.5/13 (Euro/Italy 43)! I love seeing that shoe size inclusivity. (Note that the fringe sizes may not be available for all colors of the Natalie, like the special edition versions.)

How to Style the Natalie Flat for the Casual Office

Alright, y’all—how fun is this outfit?! It may not be the most work-appropriate office outfit I’ve ever put together, but I bet there’s a casual office out there somewhere that wouldn’t scoff at a little midriff in the summer! (I’m tempted to wear this to my own office, ha. It’s hot out!)

As you probably expect, the Natalie flat really goes with any outfit you can think of, especially if you purchase one of the many neutral color options. It’s an especially great flat to wear to the office because it just looks like a pair of shoes that belongs in the hustle of a 9-to-5. I knew immediately that I would style the Natalie flat in saddle vachetta with my Everlane Dream Pant in navy. I own the dream pant in forest green and purchased a second color when they were on sale recently. No regrets! These pants feel like pajamas and look like work pants. I can sit cross-legged at my desk in these. #TheBest

I tried on a few different tops before I knew I wanted something linen…because summer. If I was going to wear long pants to the office in summer, I needed to top them off with linen. My white linen button-down shirt ended up being the perfect option, and I decided to crop the length and do a little front knot instead of tucking it in. If I don’t move, the shirt hits at the top of the pants. The rolled sleeves make the outfit appear even more relaxed.

I completed the outfit with a little bit of ear bling (gold hoop earrings) and my Madewell medium Transport tote, which I carry to the office every day (besides the days I work from home and don’t go into the office, of course).

I’m absolutely obsessed with how this look came together! My Sarah Flint Natalie flat was the perfect finishing touch. Let me know if you have any questions about the Natalie flat, and don’t forget to use the discount code to get your own pair (my code is twice as good as the one you’ll find on the Sarah Flint website! 😉).
