Let’s pretend I actually went into the office, shall we? 😉

If you have not yet heard of this brand, I’m THRILLED to introduce you to Two Days Off, a Black woman-owned clothing brand by Gina Stovall. Gina is a climate scientist (!!!) turned designer of ethically- and sustainably-made-to-order garments out of Los Angeles, California. With a focus on ease, wearability, simplicity, and timelessness, Gina uses natural fabrics in her designs and constructs each garment to last. This is slow fashion at its finest.

For my first purchase, I ordered the Suki top in clay, a beautiful rusty red, at the end of June, and I received it a couple of weeks ago. I can say with certainty that this is the most well-constructed linen top I’ve ever owned. It’s actually probably my most well-constructed top in any fabric! It’s a thick, durable linen, and the top feels like it was made with care and love. After checking out the garment measurements, I opted to go with a size small so the bust wasn’t too tight. Now that I have it, I wonder if XS would have fit better because the body is a little wide and the shoulder straps creep toward my neck as I move around (a size in between XS and S would have probably been perfect for me!). Nevertheless, the neckline isn’t too wide on my broad shoulders, and I love the airy, cropped shape!

I styled it here in a casual workwear look I’d be wearing to the office if not for the whole work-from-home situation. Even though the name Two Days Off is a nod to the weekend, it’s a perfect top for the five working days per week, too. I’m also a big fan of the Suki dress! Check out all of the Two Days Off made-to-order garments (shipping in late September) and find Gina and Two Days Off on Instagram.

(Note that this post is not sponsored, I’m just excited to share a new-to-me brand with you!)
