Now that we are a third of the way into September (WHAT?!), the days warm enough to bare legs are numbered. This summer, I wore pants and jeans to work way more than I thought I would; I think it's because it was just easier to throw on a quick outfit consisting of a tee, a pair of jeans, and a blazer or cardigan over top and call it good. Skirt outfits took more time and effort to put together. Is this top fitted enough to go with this skirt? Do these colors go together? Is this top too fussy? Can this top be tucked without bunching? Those are always the questions that cross my mind when putting together skirt outfits (among others).

Since we have so few warm (80°F+) days left, I'm trying to take full advantage, so I pulled out this skirt for one more proper summer outfit. What's better than wearing a cotton linen skirt? Adding more linen on top! This tee has gotten a ton of wear this summer, not surprisingly. I love the green-blue-cognac color combination; it's definitely one I don't wear often so it feels like a lot of color to me. And: STRIPES! I'll definitely be repeating this look next summer when the heat returns. :)
