Most days, even for work, I dress pretty casually, as you probably noticed. This is one of those rare occurrences when I dress up just a tiny bit more than usual, but everyone else thinks I'm dressed up for some fancy occasion. Nah, it's just another day in the office. ;)

When I bought this skirt a year ago, I was initially worried about what exactly I would wear with it. Well, a year later and I've worn it with this navy silk shell, a white tee and grey suede jacket, a black sweater, and a grey linen tee. (I've worn it in three of the four seasons—not bad!) I tend to stick with slimmer-fitting tops with the exception of this shell due to its volume. I think it would look adorable with the right cropped top! The only real limitation I've really found is when it comes to footwear. I think midi skirts look best on me with a bit of a heel since I'm short, but the only heels I really like with it are these light beige Earthies wedge sandals and my Ferragamo 'Vara' pumps. My other shoes just seem off in some way or another. I want to challenge myself to find a new outfit combination with this skirt that I love just as much as my other outfits!

And, of course, I'm still on the hunt for more perfect midi skirts... :)
