Did you have a long weekend thanks to the Memorial Day holiday? Mine ended up being a four-day "weekend", if you could call it that. Korri had surgery to reconstruct his ACL and MCL on Friday (torn from skiing two months ago), so I was on sick leave to take him to and from the hospital. I've been a caretaker for him ever since, giving a new meaning to Dr. Kimi. ;) The first night was rough as the anesthesia and hospital-administered painkillers wore off, but each day he gets a little bit better. He left the house for the first time today to celebrate my brother's high school graduation, and then his post-op/first physical therapy appointment is coming up this week! I'm glad he's finally healing from his injury even if it's slow going. I'm hoping we can both get some more sleep, soon, though, haha! I have to administer his medicine every four hours, even overnight. I'm starting to feel like a zombie!

ALSO, The Bachelorette started tonight, but we haven't had a chance to watch due to the aforementioned graduation party. I have a love/hate relationship with Twitter...I love reading all of the tweets about the men/drama, but I hate that I may have spoiled myself before even starting the first episode! Ah! Oh well, it's kind of fun to possibly know what will happen and see it all play out. I already forgot the guys that Becca met during After the Final Rose haha.

Alright, so this post is definitely not turning out to be short and sweet, but this outfit is basically the epitome of short and sweet. I don't get many opportunities to pull out my short skirts now that my workplace leans more on the business side and less on the casual side (even though it is quite casual, I never see any other women wearing skirts that fall above their knees). I paired my chambray skirt with a sweet Peter Pan-collared top to bring out the girly side of my style. This Peter Pan-collared top is about the only "twee" thing left in my closet after a couple of years of obsessing over everything ModCloth. I still don't see myself getting rid of it anytime soon!
