I'm a big fan of wearing pieces that come across as a juxtaposition when worn together in the same outfit. Case in point: a sweet midi skirt paired with a sassy suede moto jacket. There's really nothing inherently "wrong" with wearing these two items together—they balance each other nicely, in my opinion; they create a fun visual effect (not to mention a fun mental effect for me, haha). This outfit is essentially me in a nutshell: a little sweet, a little sassy. ;)

More outfit thoughts:

I originally shied away from wearing true white tees with this skirt since the skirt is obviously not a true white and I thought it would look weird. I think the colors are just different enough that it doesn't look weird, you know? The skirt is definitely more cream than white instead of being just off-white, the latter of which would make true white look out of place. Now it doesn't look like I'm trying to match my skirt!
I wouldn't be wearing this jacket with this skirt if not for the slightly cropped length of the jacket. I have a weird personal stigma with wearing long cardigans and jackets with long skirts. It feels too... frumpy? I hate the feeling of my clothes "swallowing" me since I'm short, so I definitely opt for cropped jackets, especially if a midi skirt is on deck that day!

Happy weekend, friends! We hit a balmy 90°F today—whew! It was definitely a hot one for the end of April. (Side note: How is it the end of April?) It's going to cool down for the weekend, which is fine by me since I plan to run errands, clean the house a bit, work on some grad school things, and maybe find some time to relax in between.
