Brunch in blush
It's been a few weeks since the last time I went out for a proper brunch. I wish I could be one of those people that brunched every weekend, you know? I have my favorite brunch locations, but I'd love to try other places every once in a while. If only my income allowed for that, ha! Speaking of income, at the beginning of January, I decided that I needed to get a better handle on my financial situation. I'm not one to pay attention to how much I'm spending vs. saving. I've also checked my credit score exactly once—just a few weeks ago, after downloading the Credit Karma app. (I was terrified to check it, to be honest, but I didn't have anything to worry about—thank goodness.) I also downloaded Mint and it's been eye-opening to see my spending patterns. I'm hoping that I can set and reach some (small) money-related goals this year and perhaps treat myself to brunch more often!
I digress! This is what I wore the last time I went out for brunch. I actually wasn't planning on shooting it because I kind of just threw it together (gotta love it when most of your wardrobe can mix-and-match seamlessly!), but I love the colors going on here—the blush is a subtle nod to the upcoming holiday—and cuffing these jeans to reveal the lighter lining will forever be one of my favorite styling tricks. It provides such a nice visual contrast to the black boots! Hope you all have a great weekend and maybe even enjoy some brunch yourself. ;) xo
