After what seemed like months without so much as a drop of rain, it has started raining here again. That’s how we know it’s officially fall! ;) There was actually a day last week where I was told (by Korri, a meteorologist) that it was only going to rain in the morning, so I wore ankle boots instead of rain boots…turned out, it rained all day and there were puddles everywhere when I left work. I missed my opportunity to wear rain boots. Wah-wah. Haha! I always take those opportunities when I can get them. (On the bright—err, dreary?—side, it’s going to rain again Tuesday so you can bet I’ll be sporting these Hunter boots!)

The cool, damp weather has made me turn completely to my coziest garments. I’ve worn either a sweater (especially this cotton sweater by Everlane) or a sweatshirt every day in the last couple of weeks. If there’s one thing you should know about me, it’s that I’m obsessed with being comfortable and cozy, especially when fall rolls around. I love buying all the pillows for the couch, I have a relatively unreasonable number of blankets, and I wear only soft garments (I pulled my cashmere joggers back out for the change in seasons). I realized that life is too short to wear anything that is itchy or uncomfortable in some way.

This sweater has been worn six times since I got it in August, which is amazing considering it didn’t really cool down much until recently. It fits my “comfortable and cozy” criteria, and I just adore how oversized it is. I may or may not have napped in this thing! I’m very tempted to pick it up in more colors (side note: Everlane keeps releasing new items and I can’t keep myself from buying them so… YIKES to how my budget is looking this quarter, LOL). Hope it’s cool if I feature a lot of cozy looks this fall. ;)
