Balmy weather at the end of October called for a few more bare leg outfits before the cold hits. Even though I love the warm weather, shaving my legs is not my favorite thing (I do it for myself!), so I won't miss doing that as often when it's winter!

I recently ordered this beautiful black midi skirt from Amour Vert. I figured a black midi skirt would be a good, solid, work-appropriate option to have in my wardrobe. This one is a wrap style that features soft, heavier weight modal fabric. I was on the fence about it for a while because of the length. It looks like a proper midi on the model, so I knew it was going to be long on me but I'm not sure I was prepared for just how long it looks on me! Luckily, I think it looks much better in photos than it does when I look at myself in the mirror haha. I waited too long to return it so I knew I had to make it work.

I originally played with the idea of tucking a top into it, but the thinner fabric showed the lumps and bumps of the top. I didn’t have anything else to where with it, so I did something I rarely (if ever) do: I wore an item from my Poshmark closet. I listed this cropped sweater a couple of weeks ago because I didn't have any more outfits in mind with it and was ready to move on, but it ended up working perfectly with this skirt...so I think it got a second chance! I actually think this skirt will look best with cropped tops/sweaters to avoid the whole fabric-bunching situation (unless the top is really thin). Plus, the cropped sweater balances out the length of the skirt.

I feel like a floaty princess when I wear this skirt because it flutters around me when I walk. It's so fun! That said, you do have to be cautious so as to not flash anyone. The heavier weight of it helps it stay down and not fly open—unless you’re in a crazy windstorm. That's always my worry with wrapped skirts and dresses!
