Another day, another cardigan. It's been a welcome break from my constant need to wear pullover sweaters in the dead of winter. This outfit is made up of mostly old pieces; I've had everything except the hat for around four years. Crazy, right?! I've also repeated variations of this outfit (cardigan, top, jeans, boots) multiple times over the years. I love when items turn into perennial closet staples!

The jeans I've worn nearly 150 times since I started recording my outfits in summer 2014. Their cost per wear is down to about 32 cents! That's pretty amazing. Sadly, I recently noticed a very small hole near one of the back pockets. I'm hoping that a tailor can patch it or reinforce the back somehow, but seeing as these are thinner, legging-style jeans, I think their life is coming to an end sooner rather than later no matter what. I'm really sad because I absolutely love these jeans; I wear them all of the time! I've started a hunt for a replacement just in case something more tragic happens to them and I just haven't been able to locate a pair that has the same kind of darker wash and that isn't a typical denim jean. In my experience, the regular dark indigo denim tends to 1) be more restrictive/stiff, 2) have dye that easily transfers/rubs off on things, and 3) have a dye that fades quickly. I've had no problems with these jeans because they're not "real" denim.

I've actually started looking out for these exact jeans on Poshmark in case a new or like-new pair comes up in my size, but please let me know if you come across anything by other brands that could pass as a fraternal twin to these jeans! They're currently my third most-worn item in my entire closet, so you can say that I'm going to be in a pickle if I can't find a pair that works just as well as these. ;)
